    Crackers

I make crackers using almond flour. Very low carb and gluten free. You Mix 1 cup flour with 1 egg white. Till all moist. Roll out very thin on parchment paper, using a pizza cutter, cut out sized crackers. Sprinkle with whatever salt or seasoning you like. I like chili powder, garlic powder or salt, and seasoned salt the best. Sent from my VS985 4G using the BariatricPal App Sorry, didn't finish. The band

Well dang, I didn't realize this was from last year. I'm sure you've figured it all out already. Sent from my VS985 4G using the BariatricPal App

    The band

    1. It hurts if I drink with food in my pouch. The reasons they don't want you to is bc it washes down the foodm, so you won't stay feeling full as long. 2. And 3. You don't have enough restriction. I hate Protein shakes. Don't limit yourself. I, myself make homemade cream Soups. There's a whole wide world of liquids out there. Going a few days without protein protein protein won't hurt you. Sent from my VS985 4G using the BariatricPal App

    Salad!

I love salads, but I can't tolerate any raw veggies, or some cooked. The gas pressure is just too much for me. Sent from my VS985 4G using the BariatricPal App

    Pouch dilation

I ended up having a complete unfill. I am just now this week at proper restriction (green zone). My dr blamed the band and doesn't like it, but I know it was all me. I would be full but eat a lil more. I would eat too fast, throw up then shamefully eat some more. I truthfully wasn't mentally ready to have the band. I still wanted my crutch. So, after 4 years of being banded, I am now mentally prepared for this journey. Sent from my VS985 4G using the BariatricPal App

  10. I found a lot of ideas on Pinterest. I also eat a lot of lentils, refried Beans, green apple slices w caramel(walmart snack packs). I make almond flour (very low carb) crackers and dip in avacado, hummus, or laughing cow cheese spreads. I melt a lil chunk of cheddar cheese, mix with milk simmer till Milky, stirring constantly. Take off heat, add half can of peas and a package of tuna fish. Sent from my VS985 4G using the BariatricPal App

    I Hate my Lap Band

I felt the same as you, I've had the band for 3+ years. Up until I had a slip last Sept. My surgeon emptied it completely, and yes, I blamed the band and wanted it out. I read all the horror stories and bought into them. Then doing my research and being with no restriction until about a month ago, I realized the band want at fault. The slip wasn't the band fault. It was mine. I hurt whenever I ate, I threw up whenever I ate. I was the one eating too fast, I was the one knowing I was eating too much, but would have just one more bite. It was me making myself miserable. I'm just now this month at proper restriction and I'm going too finally after 3 years, make the most of this. Sit down, take a good hard look at every situation that you were miserable with the band and maybe find out what was really going on. I'm not judging, and maybe your situation isn't like mine, but before you get discouraged and feel desperate to get it out maybe you can give it a go with the band. Fillers

You can have your Dr write you a prescription for embla cream. You rub it on before you leave for your appointment and will be completely numb by the time they do it. My daughter is a diabetic and we did this before her blood work every three months. At 3 years old, she never even blinked an eye when they stuck her.
  15. Banded 3/19/2012 this summer had to get all fluid taken out. Lost total of 40 lbs, gained back 30 recently. Dr wanted to do revision, bc of stomach coming up over band. Insurance wouldn't pay for new wls so, I said to keep my band. I'm all good now, it went back down with unfill and liquid diet. I go next week for another fill(3rd since unfilled), right now I still have no restriction. With my Dr hating the band now, and not doing them anymore, I feel so isolated. Started local support group this week, but no one has had the band. I feel like I'm on my own. Could anyone give me an encouraging lapband story?
