My highest weight was 314. I am now 291. I wear size 24 bottoms, 3x tops, 24/26. I haven't set an actual goal weight. When I was in my twenties I got down to 145 but my body had to fight to stay there. I was more comfotrtable at 160. I will probably set my weight at 165. I start a 2 week liquid diet on Nov. 28. Anyone doing a 2 weeker?

Blue Shield PPO- do u need to wait 6 months for surgery?
Roxyrooster replied to bethk12@gmail.com's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That happend to me too. If you can contact WW and get records, you are in business,. If not, just start with a physican...my program with my doctor is very laxed. She has to record what I tried and what we talked about. I am in month 3. It is going by quickly.. Good luck. -
Hi I am in the process of being approved for surgery. I have to do 4 more months of supervised diet/wl before insurance will approve me. That will put me in to Novemeber/December for surgery. I am an elementary teacher. I was wondering if it is conceivable to have surgery on Christmas break and return to school in Januarhy. (approx 15 days). Thanks so much, Roxy

Which Michigan VSG surgeons are the best?
Roxyrooster replied to debby01's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Have you checked out Hurley Bariatrirc Center in Flint? I have not had my surgery yet, but am in the process. People from all over Michigan are there. One thing that I learned with BCBS PPO is that you are going to need 6 consecutive months of supervised diet. This bit me in the butt as I a only had 5! Good Luck -
My surgeon requires us to by a pre/post diet kit from him that runs $325. This is stated upfront so that it doesn't come as a shock later. It is supposed to cover a 2 week pre and 2 week post diet.

My TMJ always acts up when I am stressed. I think it is because I chew a lot of gum during stressful times. Two things that help me are my bite splint that I had made at my dental office and my chiropractor. And of course...less gum. Good Luck!
