I totally agree !!!!!! I was a selfpay who went to Mexico and have complications. I had to find a surgeon to take on what someone else started. Even though he was very good at taking me in, I did have to retell my story to every other doctor that came in to see me. Even though I know my new doctor told them already. It was what I considered my punishment. I even noticed on my chart, HAD SURGERY IN MEXICO, in big black letters on the front page. I say pay the money for a doctor in the states to begin with. It's just a gamble.

I am at 10 days out of VSG surgery and 8 days out of an ulcer repair surgery, and I still feel kinda bad. I have been running low grade temps., but thought I was done with that as of yesterday. Well tonite I have hit 100 degrees. I have taken my tylenol and yes I plan on going to the doc first thing in the morning. My questions is......Has anyone else been through this? My stomach still feels sore on the inside and even my back hurts on my left side. Any comparisons would be appriciated.

Verdict is I have double pneumonia. So here I sit in the hospital once again. Tests, tests, tests, and more tests. Ugh !!!! Doctor said maybe 3 days and I will be good. But I am thankful to be here and under the care I need to get healthy again. So ready to enjoy life again. Thanks for all of the imputs and as I have realized, when something doesn't feel right, go get it checked out.

I am so sorry you had to go through that. Thank goodness for hubbies. I hope by now you are doing better. It has been a tough road, but we are survivors and whatever it takes, we will succeed. I know it's hard to relax, but you do need more rest. I know it has done me a world of good.

I am still in TJ at the Oasis hospital. Had my surgery Friday and I get my tube out today. Then I'm headed to the recovery hotel. So far I feel great. Dr. Kelly and his staff are amazing. I will update more info. before I leave. I am so happy about my sleeve.

I'm leaving for San Diago today and am having surgery tomorrow in TJ. I've got a sleeve buddy who will be there the same day. Yay !!! I am so excited.

I had a bi-lateral mastectomy 2 years ago and had the tubes also. I had mine for 6 wks. yuck !! I dread the tube again, but 2 days I think I can handle. The safety pin is a must I agree. I always had mine pinned to my sweat jacket so you couldn't see them. Just a sacrifice I am willing to do again.

My surgery is the 8th, so I'm getting closer. I am so excited. I started the liquid diet a few days ago and I can tell it's gonna be tough making it until next week. I can see everyone on this post is nervous and excited. I can't wait to see how we all do.

Has anyone on here had the VSG after having breast cancer? I have had breast cancer, chemo, mastectomy, and reconstruction. I started taking a hormone therapy medication afterward and gained weight. Now I can't seem to get the weight off, so I have scheduled my VSG for April 8th. My plastic surgeon didn't do a very good job on my new boobs, so now with the extra weight they even look worse. I am hoping to lose my extra weight and have my boobs redone. I was just wondering if anyone else has any of the same problems? Jen

So glad to hear you are doing so good. I have surgery with Dr. Kelly April 8th, so this news is awesome to hear. As for your friend, hopefully she will be able to join the VSG club too. I know the struggles of being overweight and the hurt that other people have thrown my way. Congrats to you and keep up the good work. Jen
