Congrats on the weight lost... that's awesome. How tall are you? I'm 5'5 and a pear shape. My sugeon set a goal that was too low for me... 130 uhm I was 210 pounds when I was 13 yo. I don't think I was ever 130, my body would never let me get that low, I would look ill. The smallest I've been was 170 and I plateau and body wouldn't go down past that. I wearing 8/10 on top and 14 bottoms, My face was really skinny then but I wanted to drop to 10/12 bottoms. This time I plan on doing laser lipo on my hips to make it more proportionate with my top. My weight goal is 155 but I will reevaluate myself once I get to 170. I am 5'7 and kind of pear shaped. 130 does seem low but I guess we will just know when our body is ready to stop. Laser lipo sounds fabulous!

Well said girl!!! I like how you told it like it is! I agree with everything you wrote. We do need to do this for ourselves! I like a quote I read on here today that kind of fits the tone of your post: "Life has no remote control... you have to get up and change it yourself"! So true we do! I can definitely tell YOU are because you are looking fabulous!!! Yes you were pretty to begin with and you keep on getting prettier! Congrats on all your success and all the obstacles you've overcome.

So good to hear your story! I actually was researching on other sites and many women said the same thing. For one their stomach was smaller when pregnant after a tummy tuck than when they were pregnant before and two- many didn't get stretch marks like before. Very interesting!

I agree~ BOO to BMI charts! But I'm sure you can get a little satisfaction being "normal" now. Not sure I will ever get to use that term to describe me- in so many ways!

Congrats that you were approved and will soon have a surgery date! Woo Hoo! Wow- to the year long supervised diet- never heard of one that long. But you are done now and ready for the next stage! Good luck to you with your surgery and continuing on this journey!

Wow August 8th is early to begin the school year! I also teach but we don't go back until the 22nd and kids come the 25th. You should be fine after 3 weeks. You will probably be really tired at the end of the day so try to pre-plan as much as possible (I know easier said than done). Will you tell any co-workers? I told a support staff teacher so she could be there if I needed her to fill in for me if I needed to take a break. That worked out well. Good luck to you with surgery and the upcoming school year!

Good luck to you tomorrow! I had to have some blood drawn the morning of as well to make sure I was ready for surgery. I had low potassium and just had to drink some nasty stuff to bring it up before surgery. I'm sure you'll be fine! We'll be thinking of you!

Are you kidding me? You have lost over 122 lbs since March? Okay, stand up. Wrap your arms around yourself because that is me hugging you for such an amazing weight loss! Next, look real closely at the screen since I think you can see me dancing for your success thus far. Keep up the great work...you are rockin' your sleeve! Oh I should clarify- I started losing in November for my pre-op diet. I lost 63 lbs before surgery in March.

This is a tough subject for me right now. I was trying to just stick with clothes that I already had in my closet from when I was smaller. Then dang! a friend I was driving with stopped by Marshalls to return some clothes. I went in with her- BIG BIG mistake. Things are so cheap there that I justified it that way. It really can be like an addiction- get a little and end up craving more. I went to Younkers the next day and did some major damage! Younkers is my favorite store! I love the stuff but really need to return some clothes. I went overboard. I did buy some that will fit in 10lbs or so and I bought some stuff on clearance that I anticipate wearing next summer (that might've been a mistake).

My doctor suggested staying on them for the first year post-op because of all the changes we go through physically, emotionally, and mentally. I'm going to follow that advice just to be on the safe side. But I'm sure you could get off the meds earlier. Maybe have your doctor wean you off with lower doses first.

You and your husband are doing really GREAT! Congrats on your weight loss! Good luck with your PT experience and I hope you do get to enjoy exercise. I like it- but have difficulties getting going and making my mind say yes- get on that elliptical!

Congrats on being approved! They do test for leaks in the hospital- right after is when the chance of having a leak is higher. But after that you are pretty much safe as long as you follow your doctor's rules. Good luck to you on the 13th!
