How many total inches have you shrunk???
sasicas replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I have been more amazed with the inches lost than the weight itself, I've always been more about the size anyways, knowing I tend to look smaller than what I weigh Anyways, in 6 months I have lost 81 inches. I about fell over when I took the last measurments LOL! -
So glad to hear from you! YAY for a size 10 and losing so much
I am doing good, minimal pain, tons of restriction lately but it comes with stress. I am down 89 lbs, 1 lb til goal and FINALLY in my goal size of size 8. Weight loss has slowed but still losing so I think I will go another 10 at teh most before I force it to stop. This whole experience has been crazy!

When you go to a concert and you don't have to sit down sideways to squeeze your butt into the seats. When you stop hiding from the camera and start posting pictures of yourself to facebook. -

How funny, I just came back here to post the same thing about the trampoline I love being able to get on there with my kids and not being worried about the weight restrictions or getting too tired in a matter of minutes. -

YAY! I LOVE it! Such an awesome picture too -
If it's cold I am freezing, if it's hot I am just fine My husband was thrilled after I got sleeved because I kept turning up the heater and normally I keep it low to keep the bill down. Then just yesterday I was baking in the kitchen and one of the kids asked if she could turn on the fans because it was really hot in the house, I felt just fine and didn't realize it had gotten so warm lol

Can't believe it has been 6 months since I was sleeved I am now down a total of 86 lbs since I began the 2 week liquid diet so 74 lbs since the day of surgery. I am down for a grand total of 81 3/4 inches! Talk about a LOT of inches lost off this body! I am now 4.8 lbs from goal but really I am fine with my weight. Though according to the BMI scale I am still overweight, I so happen to think that scale is stupid ha! I am not pushing to lose that last bit but not preventing it either, my weight is still coming off pretty nicely. Last week alone I had a huge drop and lost 4.2 lbs, this week I lost 1 lb. So my sleeve is absolutely still working. I have had so many NSVs lately from people guessing my weight to be 115-125 lbs, which is beyond me since I am at 154 lol, I was always good at hiding my weight though at the lower weights so I guess that is a plus I had someone FINALLY tell me my ID card looked nothing like me YAY! She remembered me fat and kept looking at me like something was wrong, finally she said I must have lost a ton of weight and even called over one of the other receptionists to come look at me lol. I finally hit my size goal too, well at least at Old Navy, I have yet to try elsewhere but I can comfortably wear a size 8 now and generally medium shirts, occasionally a small or large, depending on the brand. Dresses are medium to large now too. I am still dealing with some complications, I still have pain at the top of my sleeve, especially in the morning. Still taking 2 nexiums and 1 zantac a day to try to control the pain from the heartburn I now have. Lately I have been seriously restricted, I am sure it is from stress, it's a struggle to drink Water, let alone food and I am full within 2-3 bites of anything right now but this shall pass hopefully soon. I will be seeing a surgeon today so not sure if he will want to scope me again or just let it go and see if it goes away. I suspect my labs are off too, specifically my Iron given how I am feeling. I will be seeing a plastic surgeon too, I was told I needed a panniculectomy (sp?) long before I considered weight loss surgery and it is absolutely needed still, my poor stomach is destroyed and I still carry a large amount of fat there. I am also looking into a breast augmentation too, they are long gone LOL! All in all I am still very pleased with my sleeve and glad I went through with it Don't mind the crummy pics, I had to use my webcam.

Thanks I am 5'4

Thanks Well no idea on the pain still. The dr said it might be another stricture but to just keep what I am doing and hopefully stretch it out on my own ugh. But it's ok. I was so nervous to see him given the goal he gave my much taller friend, well he said I was doing amazing and better than the majority of the sleevers he sees WOOHOO! So all in all he said to keep it up and talk to my surgeon when he is back in a few months about my gut. Surprisingly enough my labs looked great again so I am guessing my dizzyness and exhaustion is due to my CPAP issues. ANd yes I still have sleep apnea as bad as I did pre-op which totally stinks but hey at least I'm not that big anymore lol.

Does your sleeve get tighter or looser depending on what you eat?
sasicas replied to 300PoundsDown's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Well thank you. We never turn down prayer I am glad I have had this site and gotten support here. The doctors aren't quite sure why I had the issues I have had but I am more than thankful that it was not worse. Compared to some my complications were hardly anything. I know two ladies currently in the local group that has been in the hospital for months since having the duodenal switch, I can't even imagine what their families are going through. -

I have also just found that stress causes restriction for me. I am extremely stressed right now and just completely worn down. As a result I can hardly eat anything. This morning I ate about 1/2 a string cheese, normally I could eat the whole thing. For lunch I had two tortilla chips and a tablespoon of shredded chicken and I was stuffed. Not normal for me at all, but not surprised with the stress I am dealing with. -

sasicas replied to 300PoundsDown's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Like Tiffykins said the post above, you need to not eat that much. YOu shouldn't get to the point where you throw up. I am 6 months out and still cannot eat 1/2 cup of food. -
Well that explains it then, it would absolutely be her insecurity in her own body and jealousy that you will look "better" than her. Don't know if you are heavier than her right now but I can tell you from my own experience that being heavier than my husband was not a fun experience. He also shows jealousy now, not so much because I am thinner than him but he is much more protective that someone is going to swoop in and "steal" me from him now that I'm not fat. Flattering and annoying at the same time.

Considering LapBand? READ this first...
sasicas replied to Lanette's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I originally considered the lapband as well, I had never even heard of the sleeve. Well at our orientation the surgeon said while they do the lapband, they do not suggest it as they are taking out almost all the bands they have put in.
