Good luck, Cathy!! Hope you get it!
-
Thanks, all. I'm definitely in a bit of a funk, but jet lag always totally messes me up too, so here's to a few more days of recovering and then hitting it again!! <3
-
Well shite. Looks like I gained about 5 lb in the US...though I probably deserved more than that LOL. Also haven't worked out in the slightest for over two weeks, not even much walking or anything. We also got our house broken into and burgled while we were away, so that effing sucks. We have to clean up the mess and make a list of what's missing, just how I wanted to spend the remainder of my holiday. Shee-it. So I'm officially off plan till I go back to work next week, meanwhile I will feel sorry for myself and eat whatever I want I guess. Jet lag still kicking my butt and making my sleep and appetite all messed up anyhow.
-
Lol I'm out here in Midwest US eating my weight in naughty food. I have gained like 3 kg...!!!
-
I'm with Cathy, I love liver! Calves' or chicken livers only tho. Yum. I'm in the US, eating badly, suffering very bad jet lag this time, and generally feeling a bit unhinged. Going to a big supermarket yesterday overwhelmed me by the amount and variety of supershitty, blatantly crap food. Which depressed me, along with having too much sugar myself and nearly no sleep. Hoping I don't gain a ton and/or totally melt down from sleep deprivation, chaos and noise of being surrounded by loads of (loved!!) relatives, and just sheer overload and exhaustion. Yikes.

I will be on the West Coast and the East Coast, though I do have a flight through Denver at one point. We have a flight through everywhere OMG, what a palaver this trip is going to be. Hopefully fun too, though!! Thanks for the kind words...and I hope the storms in CO calm down and that everyone is okay. Stuff is fixable...people not so much. <3

I'm always a bit if a mad woman when we're going on holiday. I hate planning and packing makes me pretty mental too. Getting all out stuff together and plane tickets passports blah blah blah... I am nutty right up till the time I sit down in the plane, then I'm usually fine. (Or in the car if its a road trip.) As we are leaving very early Tuesday. I'm deep into the crazy stress right now. I don't know how I missed the posting about the benign thyroid, LV, but yay! I'm very glad to hear that. Have fun in Big Sur, soooo pretty there. I'm sure I'll be all fattened up by American food the next couple weeks, eeeek, so I'm sure I'll be back in here with a vengeance after that... :-)
-
Holy crap M2G!! Where is that?? I'm glad you are doing ok!! Wow what a scary thing. The tornado sirens always freak me out. :-( Stay safe!! Xo
-
I'm thinkin after a romantic getaway in Big Sur, there will have been plenty of busted humping.

BTB, that sucks about the toe!! Sorry! I'm at about 55 miles right now. I also did a TRX class yesterday for the first time and may be lamed by that for a while. LOL. I love it when I work out all the time, then do some class that TOTALLY KICKS MY A$$ LIKE I'VE NEVER SEEN THE INSIDE OF A GYM BEFORE.
-
Haha, that made me laugh. Sorry MIL is poorly, hope she's back in the pink very soon...but it's funny that she paid for pizza when she never pays...and yeah, that means you MUST eat it!! (Do you ever miss the "Gonna get to goal" thread? I do. Even though I also love this one now too...)
-
FYE...LOL, that just made my day. TOTALLY going to add it in on MFP!!!
-
Awesome!! Happy anniversary!! I LOVE London!! :-) I haven't really fasted all week. I'm currently slightly bitter that fitbit didn't count anything about my VERY difficult TRX course. What?? I ate about normal, but I worked out like a mad woman... About to go on holiday, so let's see how that goes... :-) xoxox
-
I walked all over town, took 22 flights of stairs and still that tyrant of a fitbit said I didn't reach my goals. Hmph! So I got the rebounder out and pwned that fitbit lol. Btb, I haven't tried running in the Merrell gloves at all, but I love them for my (very fast) walk to the gym and for doing my workout. My husband has several pair of five fingers and wears them for lots of things, tho he's also not a frequent runner. He loves them. I already ordered a new pair of merrells to get in the US. :-)

Georgia, your fallscape looks fab!! We are def getting chillier here now... I reckon GT is en route to Germany and maybe offline a couple days around that transit time? She said she'd be headed there yesterday/today-ish I think. No fast here again. Had tartare and chips for dinner with business guest. But I've been eating pretty well overall, no gain at all.
-
I have fitbit one, am totally into it lol. MUST get all my smiley faces every day!!! :-) I'm at about 50mi now, maybe a little less. Thanks to my wee fitbit/conscience, at least half of that must be from climbing stairs! I work on 7th floor, live on 4th floor (diff buildings obv lol) and I've been climbing up to both a lot. Makes me bum sore :-D

Cheri, I can't imagine the (w)horror of the first dress if these are the better ones. Ugh blingy dresses make me twitchy. Lol. I like 3 best, but that's mostly cos strapless does my head in. My boobs is way too old and tired to be livin on a prayer like that lol. But yeah, I'm with you in letting it be about the bride on her day, so voila... No change in weight, still loving my fitbit and being a little OCD about getting all my happy faces every day lol. But food has mostly just been 80% good and not very fast-y. All bets are a bit off for the next month or so, due to crazy work stuff and 2+ weeks of travel. Lets see if two weeks in the states can undo a whole year of work...

I WISH I'D KNOWN....
swizzly replied to Sleeve Siren's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The drain was like any surgical drain -- it's a tube that is inside your abdominal cavity that drains into a bag (or sometimes a bulb) on the outside, to keep excess Fluid from building up and also to monitor for any internal bleeding. I had to keep mine in for about five days I think? I was still in hospital, so they removed it about a day before they released me (I didn't have any complications or anything, they just keep you in hospital here for nearly a week for just about anything LOL). It didn't bother me much to have it in and it didn't hurt to have it taken out, but it felt weird to have it pulled out (took like a second in total) and it was a relief when it was gone. Funky stuff...but no big whoop at all. -
I WISH I'D KNOWN....
swizzly replied to Sleeve Siren's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Surgery was a breeze! No gas pain whatsoever. Drain was annoying but not painful. Had very little pain at all. Had dry heaves for about 8 hours one day post op, and that was it. Never lost my hunger, that hasn't been a problem though. LOVE the sleeve!! ETA: So what I wish I'd known? About the sleeve as an option -- I put off surgery for years cos I wouldn't do band or RnY -
Will the "biggest losers" pls tell your story?
swizzly replied to pjb84's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Over 2.5 years out and still loving it! It's NOT a cure-all, but it's a great tool and does not cause side effects as Band and RnY/DS do! I do love it. -
Ah, I see -- I couldn't see the toes in the picture. LOL. The five-fingers (NONE of them) don't fit me cos I have freakishly long finger toes LOL. But I love the Merrell non-toe ones -- they're called gloves? I want to buy some more when I'm in the US, but I've no clue what they're called cos I bought the pair I have now in Europe. ETA: Ha! Just looked at the label INSIDE the shoe -- go figure, it's called Lithe Glove Dark Shadow.

D'oh! I should know better by now than to answer these questions LOL. They do things so differently where I am, that nothing is the same, ever. People should all ignore me entirely (more than they already do).
-
I've heard of people being tested for smoking cigarettes/nicotine in their system, but I've never heard of drug testing per se for this op.
-
Gotta agree!! Focus on the hydration and getting a lot of liquids in and worry about food/protein later. Good luck!!
