    AnyonE NEVER LOSE WEIGHT?

I had my revision on May 6th and actually gained 8 pounds for the first 7 days or so. I lost that and and additional 13 since and I am only 18 days out. Your body has taken on a lot of fluid and is going through a lot of changes. Give it time to heal. The weight will come off don't you worry. Good luck!

Back at Work & I had an increase in my appetite

I love the greek yogurt. It has 14 grams of protein and seems to keep me satisfied.
  5. I was sleeved May 6th and did not have a bowel movement for 12 days even after drinking Miralax and taking medicmucal. I finally took a gentle laxitive and went. Now that I am eating soft foods I am having an easier time of things. I think the liquids are a shock to your body and change of diet. Also, I gained eight pounds when I got home after 3 days in the hospital. I lost that and about 13 more now 17 days out.
  6. I just had my revision on May 6th. With the band it starting thinning at about 4 or 5 months. It never thickened back up and now with the sleeve im nervous about losing more. I tried everything when it started to fall out with the band but nothing worked, shampoos, biotin, etc... I am now trying cologen. No one noticed mine except me and my imediate family because it didnt fall out of the top but i am really worried. Double wammy!
  7. I wore sweatpants or sleepy pants with a big tee shirt.

    1st day full liquids

I am 17 days out and everything has been going down pretty well. I do have the burping sometimes and a little discomfort in my belly at times but not real bad pain.

    sleeved yesterday!

I am glad to hear your doing well. I had my band to sleeve revision plus a hiatal hernia repair on May 6th. I was uncomfortable for a few days but no strong pain. I came home and felt great on day 3 just tired. I was a bit depressed because I came home 8 pounds heavier due to water weight. I have since lost that plus about 14 pounds. I have been over doing it which is easy to do and if your like me and can't sit still that is easy to do so be careful and take it easy. I have had a wonderful recovery. I am 17 days out and I am on soft foods. I have tried some moist chicken and ground beef and have had no problems. I just eat a tiny bit and I am full. You will both do great!

    Crazy question ?

I had a revision on May 6th and my BMI was low like yours. I weighed in at 164.5. I am now about 151 after 17 days but I think it melts off in the beginning due to low calorie intake. My Dr. said I would plateau because I was worried about the same thing. I would just up my calorie intake a bit if I lose to much. Good luck!
  11. I am post op revision 12 days. I have felt wonderful and everything has been great so far. However I woke up with a sharp pain under my left breast in my ribs sort of when I take a breath. Its been hurting all day and I am getting worried. I may have over done it last week and maybe its a muscle. Has anyone else had this type of pain and if so what was it?

    Pain, upper left abdomen

HI am 13 days post op revision and woke up yesterday morning with a sharp pain under my left breast in my ribs. It hurts more when I take a deep breath. I am going to check with my Dr, in the morning. I am hoping it is just a muscle or something. Good luck.

    Hernia question

Had a hiatal hernia and didn't know it. It never showed up on my endoscopy.
  14. I am 13 days post op and had a scrambled egg and oatmeal by day 8. Each doctor is different, not sure why. I am now on pureed to soft as tolerated.

    Just sleeved

13 Days post op revision and I feel great! Back to my normal routine minus the lifting and no problems. I just get tired by about 3pm but I just think its because I am not eating much for energy. Trying to get the protein in is hard. I can eat pureed/soft foods but I really don't have much of an appetite so I kind of have to force myself to eat. Best of luck!

    Puree

I am 12 days out and have been eating a lot of Greek Yogurt, low fat rigatta cheese with a little tomato sauce mixed in, mashed potato with fat free gravy, and mushed vegies.

How much protien 5 days out?

I had my revision on May 6th and I was allowed to start pureed food a few days ago. I have had a scrambled egg, rigatta cheese with a bit of sauce in it, tuna salad and oatmeal. All went down fine but I only ate about 5 bites. My Dr. is a bit more flexible with his diet restrictions than some others. Good luck!
  18. I had my revision may 6th from band to sleeve and my BMI was around 31. I had diabetes and some other health issues and I just could not lose the weight on my own. I was 206 pounds when I had my sleeve 164 when I had my revision and about 157 11 days post-op. I feel wonderful, and my diabetes and everything else is in remission or gone and I have learned how to be a healthier happier me. Don't listen to others, do what is right for you. Good luck with your decision.

    Day 3 sleever - question

I am post op May 6th and I got a lot more energy around day 5 or 6. Now day I have been on my feet most of the day and feel very tired and weak around 3 o'clock and need to take a rest. I find if I get all my food and liquids in I have a lot more energy. Hang in there.
  20. Best of luck! You'll do great!
  21. I am sorry you are having such a hard time. I had my revision on May 6th and I am not having any of those problems so please keep your Dr. informed. It is important to try and get your liquids in before the protein this early on so try to find something you like and sip sip sip. I had to drink apple juice 100% natural because water wasn't gong down well. I also drank herbal decaf tea. Good prayers are coming your way.

    I am worried

I'll join, I just got back from a banquet where everyone was enjoying an italian buffet while I drank my water. Revision was May 6th.

    Diabetic Sleevers?

When I had my band 12/21/11 my Dr. told me the same thing and I never needed to go back on them. I had my revision on 5/6 and my sugars were going crazy. Also up in the low 200's I am 7 days post op and they seem to be regulating now that I am on whole liquids. Your body is adjusting to your new diet, plus the pain meds and other stuff. I would just monitor closely and let your Dr. know if it doesn't go back down.
  24. Congrats! Had my revision May 6th and I am feeling great!
  25. I only have to do liquids for two weeks and this week which is my second week I can do whole liquid like yogurt and stuff. So I don't think you starting softs after two weeks is bad, since that's what I will be doing as per my Dr. I no that when I weigh myself I get really depresses so I try to do it only once a week which is killer. I had my revision on May 6th and actually gained 8 pounds of fluid I guess. I was so depressed because I am not eating and still gained weight. Today I finally went back to my post op weight minus 2 pounds. It will come off just stop stressing, with the band some weeks I lost a lot, some weeks I lost a little, and some weeks nothing.
