EEEEEEEEEEEEE thanks all! (Read in Geordie accent, Coops can explain, or can she??) I might not wiegh mysefl in about a month, so much celebrating being overweight and not obese anymore w my closest friend and family, I might have put on a few pounds Had a couple of slices of pizza and a few cocktails tonight I am so happy though, thanks to you all, and if I can do ANYONE can do it, take my word for it!!! Love you all, I wouldn't have even achieved this if it hadn't been fot this wonderful forum and wonderful friends I made here (I consider you all my friends!)
  2. Something i haven't haven't even thought about but I've achieved even though I haven't reached goal yet: Being able to wrap myself completely in a NORMAL towel, not one of those huge sheet towels, loving it!!

    what is going ON!!!

I find that shocking my body (started doing it not on purpose) like having near 1000 one day and round 600 the next few days seems to do the trick, even though I only weigh every 3 to 4 weeks

    First Procedure

I totally agree w you, I've had 3 c-sections and don't mind extending my hardly visible scar, I'd rather have a slight scar than skin that is hanging over my c-section scars! I'm not having any more kids, tubes tied, so I'm going for a TT definetely next year, can't wait!!
  5. I guess the risks of having stomach cancer and dying of it are way less than the risk of having diabetes, heart disease etc and dying of a stroke or something if we continue to be fat and continue putting on weight

  7. Congratulations! Just eat what you can, don't worry too much and you and baby will be fine! How exciting, the most wonderful that could have happened to you, you are so much healthier now so you'll deliver a lovely healthy baby

    Not obese anymore!!

Thanks guy, to be honest my goal was to have a BMI of 24, but i upped it to 25 because i just feel tiny, if i loose too much more I won't be myself anymore! Anyway, my nut told me that my body would tell me when I'm at the right weight, so I'll just continue doing what I'm doing, I'm only 3 months and a bit out, I still can't believe it, keep telling my friend to pinch me, I'm afraid I'll wake up and all this was a dream

Why do people have to be mean?!

I am originally from Paraguay, where being fat is a sin. I have been living in England for 10 years now, and one of the times I went to visit (i had put on quite a lot of weight), a female collegue of mine said "what happened to you, you used to be so pretty, what did England do to you??" I can't explain how I felt, I cried my eyes out (on my own of course) People can be mean and really hurtful
  11. I'm only 3 months out and my surgeon said the same, but if you look here a lot of people lost their excess weight and more! That is what the average person loses but I'm hoping to lose most of my excess by going to the gym and working my sleeve to the max. I lost more than half of what i want to lose now(about 60% of my excess), so I'm quite confident that I'll lose more, and I'm even thinking now that I don't wa\nt to lose that much more cause i think I'll be too skinny. So i guess it depends mostly on us and the way we work our sleeve and not so much on the statistics

    First Procedure

I had a breast reduction/lift about 6 yrs ago, the scars are minimal. I will definetely have a TT and small breast implants mainly to lift them up as they got saggy again after having my 3rd baby after breast reduction (my doctor had told me not to have anymore babies after bood reduction, but I did and I even breastfed for a few months) I'm only 3 months out and am more than halfway to goal, but noticed that my bodyshape has changed a lot since the last time I was this same weight, so I'm not too sure if I want to lose as much as I had planned in the first place, I fear I'm going to be too skinny(Inever thought i would be saying this, too skinny!!!???) As I am originally from S America and all my extended family live over thereI will be going next year to get all my plastic surgery done, they have great plastic surgeons and not as expensive as here in england, so I am looking forward to that!!
  13. I watched your vlog on youtube at Parque de la Salud, beautiful, I'll def be going for a walk there next year when I go to PAraguay! Your doing really well

  14. Oh the only advice I can give is still count every single bite of chocolate and sip of alcohol you consume, I do, and on saturday I reached 1209 cal! Yesterday did better, a bit less then 800 cal, I had a cocktail at a halloween party, but i did watch what i had during the day cause I knew I was going to have some chocolate and drinks at night, today back to square 1 though and I'm weighing on friday!
  15. Mini-me I'm on the same boat and only 3 months out! Don't drink wine though (can't stand it now) and only had a few mini chocolate bars in last few days So I am taking what GT said printing it out and carrying it with me at all times!

    Holiday Strategies

iIneed to start accounting for what I eat on holidays too cause it got a bit out of hand. I had a 5 day break in london with my dad, hubby and girls and I slightly overdid it, not so much in quantity but quality. I had a few biscuits and chocolate, just because they were handing out free chocolaate at the hotel for halloween yesterday. I didn't have access to the internet very much (or time) so I didn't count my calories, but I won't be making this mistake again. I'm sure I haven't lost any weight in the past 2 weeks, but I didn't put on any either, (i know because my jeans still fit perfectly, not tighter or loser) we walked loads and I mean loads in london, so that helped! We will be having a low key Christmas this year so I'll just have turkey first which I love, and hopefully won't have much room for the rest!

Hi to all fellow UK sleevers

Welcome on board Yorkshire Girl, you won't regret your journey at all! I had my op nearly 3 months ago here in Newcastle upon Tyne, had to self pay though, because I was last in priority list for the NHS so would have to wait for about 18 months. My surgeon, Mr Small (who also does the bariatrics for NHS Sunderland) was fantastic, as was the rest of his team. I too did the milk based diet, which was fine cause I love yogurth. My Dr said the same, a bit of fish or chicken would be fine if I was desperate, but in the end I stuck to the diet, was a bit hungry but I was so focused that it was fine. My consultant told me that my liver was "beautiful" that he had never seen a healthier and lovielr liver, so it was worth the hard work. I'm halfway to my target weight and very very happy. I wont recommend you to go on myfatsecret.com to track your calories, it's really helpful, the best of luck to you!
  20. I did miss my food at first, but now, nearly 3 months out, I LOVE being able to go out to eat and just pick on stuff i like. I usually just order a soup or a starter and have that while the rest go on to mains, and I have a little bit of what my children or husband are having, absolutely loving it!!
  21. Love it! The fun, the costume, the enjoying your new life at the fullest, isn't this what it's all about!
  22. I too watched these videos while doing my research, very inspirational indeed, would love to know how they're doing now!
  23. How's it going Coops, haven't heard from you in a while?? Are you on the mend??

    what is going ON!!!

I have my theory about nutritionists: if they've never been "fat" they don't know sh*&, you cannot know just by reading, you have to have been through it yourself. I'm sure my Nutritionist used to be overweight at least, because she just completely gets how I feel, and she says I should listen to my body and do what works for me, with her blessing of course! I count myself very lucky to have her looking after me
