Hey mp8, was just looking at your ticker and your profile picture, you look amazing, at least what I can see of you! Just wanted to know what your BMI was to start with and what's your goal, BMI?? It's just that I'm struggling to know/decide where I should be. Any comments /ideas will be appreciated!
-
Thank you all for the lovely and encouraging comments, it so difficult for people in the outside world to understand my feelings and emotions, so what you guys say means the world to me! I'm still struggling to decide what my weight goal should be, I don't want to lose too much, but my nut said my body will stop where it feels comfortable, so I guess I'll go with that!

Do you really need to remember to eat?
chilo1 replied to creativeteach's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I do get hungry when I haven't eaten for a few hours, but nothing like the hunger I used to experience, like BBJ said earlier. I get full of course after a few bites of whatever or even a cup of coffee, and I can easily not eat even if i am hungry and the hunger seems to go away, it's great -

Four months out and reality has kicked in
chilo1 replied to Estrellita's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Estrellita I understand we are all different and nothing is as esay as it seems. I never thought this surgery will be the solution to all my issues with food, and it hasn't been. I'm working hard though, trying to makke the right choices, sometimes I don't though I hope to get to goal weight in 3 or 4 more months, but i know I have to work hard to get there. One piece of advice: Ask the waiter to take your plate from the table (or take it to the sink if your at home) when you're full because or else you will continue grazing as you say, I do that now, especially if we're sitting at the table having a converstion because I know that if I don't I'll just keep picking on my food half an hour later I'll manage to eat more! -

what will I do in the hospital?
chilo1 replied to mboski's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was in hospital for 3 days, took a book magazines, but to be honest didn't feel like doing much. Not because of the pain or anything, but because the weeks before I had been on such a high that I was really tired! So when I wasnt walking around or sipping I would just sleep or watch some tv! Good luck -
Vicki I hope you're feeling better by now, it's incredible how after surgery are hormones go mad, and like you say all the feelings of guilt, not being able to have done it on our own. You will feel so much better each day, and you will end up loving your sleeve, regardless of the pain, the guilt, I'm loving it and so will you

I bought one pair of leggings with a nice top which I always wear when going out. Apart from that I bought three pairs of jeans lyrca stretchy ones., and when they start getting a bit loose I wash them in hot water and put them in the tumble dryer real hot for a good hour so they shrink again. I too have a thing about second hand clothes so I've been managing a with a few bits and pieces, oh and 2 warm knitted sweaters, but just cheap ones and that's it!

GT I am sure you're looking fantastic even though you might not feel it. Your family and friends havent seen you in a while, and people who see you everyday won't realise the difference. TAke it from someone who knows. Keep up the good work
