  1. I still would need surgery,I was offered loads of things if I lost weight, put even more stress on me. BTW you will be risking complications with your health if you DON'T have this surgery! I suppose you're a guy??
  2. Just saw your 5 months picture, amazing! How many calories do you roughly have a day, or do you not count at all?

    Anyone done a pouch test?

I wanted to "detox" after the holidays, So i did 2 days of protein drinks/soups, and the other 3 days protein as per indicated. I had some peanut butter and a piece of bread (tiny piece whole meal) on my 3rd day I think.

    Anyone done a pouch test?

    WHY ME???

I agree 100% with you Leesey. Whay got me fat was eating huge amounts of whatever I could get my hands on, not a few pieces of toast. I had this surgery to be able to lose weight eating smaller portions, but a varied diet. Varied being the key word here. I dieted all my life, or at least for a good 31 years. Diets made me fat in the first place. There is scientific proof of that. This is not a diet for me, it'a a way of life! BTW I'm not quite there yet Leesey but I'm taking it easy, I exercise quite a lot and hope to be at goal by my 42nd Bday on the 13th March! Good luck to you!

    Everyone Says Something Different!

I was told it's because the liquid pushes the food through and you get hungry easier-i don't follow this rule.
  12. 41 and wished this surgery was around 10n years ago!
  13. Just watched your youtube update-WOW, you look amazing!!!! I can unserstand the clothes frustration as I posted somewhere, in Paraguay if you're not a size 8 or smaller there is nothing. Loved your pictures, they brought tears to my eyes, I guess I'm just a bit homesick!

    WHY ME???

A bit of wholemeal bread isn't bad, I'm not saying eat loads and don't eat your protein, but a balanced diet I believe is the key to success

    WHY ME???

I can eat bread(very small amounts), toast, from about 2 months out, so you'll be fine you just need to wait a bit, your urge for bread will pass, believe me
  17. I have a lot of carbs, from 50 to 100 on any given day, I'm working on it, but it's hard because most of my carbs come from milk and I'm not giving up milk. I also have weight watcher's wrap sometimes, a slice of wholemeal toast a few times a week, veggies everyday and a fruit most days. (at least most of my carbs are slow releasing good carbs )
  18. I use myfatsecret.com, it easy to use and you can enter foods that aren't listed really easily

    Day 3 after surgery

Congratulations on your sleeve! Yep, I was in pain too when I started moving around more, I would maybe not lie flat but kind of sit up in bed with a few pillows and take it easy!

    Average Weight???

My nut said the same about my body finding the weight it's comfortable at, that's why I keep changing my goal!

    How is 1200 Calories enough?

If you cut out 1,000 calories per day from your maintenance level, that will add up to a 7,000-calorie deficit in one week. There are 3,500 calories in a pound of stored body fat, so in theory, there should be a loss of two pounds of fat for the week. Actual real world fat loss rarely works out with such mathematical precision. This is because of the "Starvation Response." The Starvation Response is your body's ability to slow down your metabolism when it senses calorie deprivation. The only way to prevent your body from going into "starvation mode" would be to avoid severe calorie shortages...800 cal 6 months out, to little in my opinion...
