I had quite a bit of pain when I woke up, still in the recovery room, that I can remember well, bad gas pains. After a few hours it wasn't that bad though, it was bearable but just uncomfortable. We all have different pain thresholds so we all experience pain differently

Obstructed by a "bezoar", has anyone else heard of this?
chilo1 replied to Vampyrvet's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
So i guess you're recovering well? How long after having your sleeve did this happen? Best of luck -
Incredible how things that you don't even imagine are loaded with calories, I dread to think how many calories I was consuming pre-sleeve when I wasn't on a diet. I already counted what I would typically have when I was "dieting" and it was near 3000 cal somedays OMG. I used to be a huge volume eater

I get quite hungry now, wasn't hungry at all for the first few months, I still think most of it is head hunger though. It's incredible how I can eat more without that much restriction, which is good in a way because I feel "normal" again, I do have to measure my food carefully now though

] I did that for the first couple of weeks, literally ate with my baby, focusing on the protein of course as someone said earlier, good luck!

It depends a lot on your doctor, at 2 months I was having melon/watermelon and banana ocasionally, i suppose peaches would be OK, I think I had peaches when I was early out, but again, it depends on your surgeons guidelines. Tomatoes I would cook a bit inside a wrap in e pnini press thing when i was desperate for fresh vegetables

The good thing about being a slow loser
chilo1 replied to coops's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Well my symptoms were getting really nauseous and shakey after excersicing, to the point where my handswould literally shake as if it was freezing cold (when it wasn't) and I would need something to eat after which i would inmediately feel better. The other symptom was the fat around my middle/belly, i always used to have a flat bell no matter what (a pear shape) and suddenly about 5 years ago I started putting on all the weight round my middle turning into an apple shape. I was put on a lowcarb diet by my endocrinologist, the symptoms disppeared, not the the weight around my belly though, lost nearly a stone, but that was it. -
Anyway I'm going to try and ditch the milk and my cappuccino and chai powders (which add up to my carbs a lot) I tried today soya milk with my coffee and it wasn't that bad. I would love to get hold of the Click protein mix that GT recomended (they have a mocha and a cappuccino flavour) They don't seem to have round here, I might order some online, but in the meantime I have to take the bull by the horns, I want to get to goal ASAP so I'm going to go against my beliefs and lowcarb seriously for a week. I'm nearly 6 months out so now I'm really starting to panic cause I am a bit hungrier than I used to be, I have quite a few capuccinos (skimmed milk) or I make frappuccinos again skimmed milk and sweeteners but I'm going to have to go without

Coops you should ask your doctor if they can test your thyroids if they haven't yet, I think if you were insulin resistant you would have symptoms, at least I did, arghhhhhhh annoying isn't it!!! -
the rest of my posrt dissappeared sh**!!!

OK so I've decided that from tommorrow <EM>I'm seriously lowing my carbs, already bought soya milk for my coffees and teas

Size 12 still tight, working out but need to cut the carbs probably, my heallthy balanced diet theory doesn't seem to work anymore -
If I didn't know better I would've thought that I'd written that 100%!

Never followed catholic "rules" regarding birth control and many other issues to be quite honest

I've been doing the 5 day pouch test(finished yesterday) and haven't lost any weight, not even 1/2 a pound, granted it's TOM as well, so I'm not beating myself over it (last night, my last day i gave in to a glass of Rose and a piece of homemade wholemeal bread, the crusty bit dipped in aromatic olive oil ) So that wasn't a success for me, my own fault Yesterday afternoon however, we all went to the park, husband and 3 girls, and we had a blast! For the first time ever, I put my jogging bottoms on a sweatshirt, my trainers (sneakers) and felt really good about myself(I actually felt quite "cool" as opposed to fat, forty and frumpy) and I went on loads of "rides" with the girls. I've never done this before cause I always felt to old, fat, ugly . Yesterday I felt so young and carefree. My husband pointed out that I always used to just sit on a bench while they palyed. This is probably one of the best NSV in these five months since surgery. I am so happy (even though I cheated on my pouch test last night )

6 weeks, doc dissapointed in weight loss
chilo1 replied to lolli's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Very interesting point, the diet/not to diet thing. I feel the same. As I said in many threads before I have been on a diet for 30+ years (I was first put on a diet when I was 9) and the only thing it did was make me fat. Lose 10 gain 20, lose 20 gain 30, it went on and on, the story of my life. Restricting myself from so much food that I love would make me go mad after having finished whatever diet Iwas on and eat 10 times as much as I normally would've eaten had I not "banned" that food in the 1st place. It's a fact that we (including children) eat much more of the "prohibited" food once we have it available. So yeah, I'll probably not get to goal that quick, but I have made that desicion, never "diet" again! -
Are there any SIZE Goal sleevers out there?
chilo1 replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums

chilo1 replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm so near to my size goal!! I can fit into my size 12 UK jeans but still tight around the waist. To ne honest the only reason I need to lose more to feel comfortable is because of my middle bit> I'm happy with my face, legs arms (boobs to small and tummy too big ) Even though now my size goal is a 10 UK and that's final!
