    Able to eat normally

I had my fill on 15 March 2011 and can still eat normally, portions are slightly smaller. I had my first fill 3 weeks ago and after a few days I have returned to being able to eat everything. From what I can tell, its not until immediately after your first fill that you have some restriction. However if the fill is not enough then you will return to normal eating until your next fill. Good luck

    Buddy wanted:)

Hi Hun, Do you have a date for your surgery yet? Its a big step but I bet you can't wait to get started. I'm only a few months ahead of you as I had my OP on the 15th March. My weight loss is slow but i've only just had my first fill and know it will be a long journey, one i'm up for though. Anyway, I hope your well and all prepared

A liquid diet? That is any liquid including soups, shakes and anything else that can fit through a straw. No bumps or lumps lol. Good luck xx

    MARCH 2011 BANDSTERS!

Hi I was banded on 15/03/2011. I was in a huge amount of pain post op for about 4 days then it eased. I maintained a liquid diet for the full 2 weeks and have moved on to mushy foods. I can eat just about anything without any problems and feel fine. In comparison to you guys, i've not lost any weight only 3lbs and I dont understand why. I am now getting hungry, really hungry but am satisfied with smaller portions. However the frequency of them is accelerating. I have cheated today for the first time and had some chips and a bit of cake. Not a huge amount but enough to feel the pressure on the band and I don't feel good for it. One question - Has anyone suffered from a permanent stitch upon walking? Its brought on instantly and is very uncomfortable. I went to a restaurant a few days ago and was worried about what I could have. I chose the jacket potato and tuna mayo. I ate about half a portion. it went well, better then I thought. Not told anyone about my band other then my boyfriend so having people to talk to about it is really nice xxx

  6. Hi There, I was banded on the 15/03/2011 and things have gone smoothly since then. I'm looking forward to seeing the results. I've lost 3lb so far, although i'm not expecting to see results this soon knowing it's starting is quite exciting. I hope to share my experience with others who have had the procedure as I have not told anyone other then my other half so it will be nice to have people to chat with about it. Thanks
