Had my 6 month check up today with primary doctor. I lost 40 lbs since my visit in January. Total of 82 lbs. My BMI is 23. I am not obese anymore. I'm almost 60 but she said age is not a factor anymore! Love my doctor and my lap band with plication! No fills!

Okay I had my lap band with plication 10 months ago. Lost all my weight with never having a fill. But now I continuously burp which is what I did before I had my hernia fixed. Any suggestions?

My goal weight was 145. I'm 5'3 weight was 215. My doctor suggested 135 but I'm knocking on 60. I said no way but that's where I'm at. Happy with my plication with Lap band(never had a fill) almost 10 months. Now it's either exercise or surgery? Good luck to all! No regrets ever!

Complete Lap Band Failure & Then Success

I can see where he's coming from. My lap band doctor only pushed "low carb" diet. That's what I did along with my surgery and have never gotten on the scale since day one without losing or least staying the same. Lost 80 lbs and at goal since my surgery Nov 6,2012! Don't knock down someone else success! We all want to lose. Just some do it differently! -
70lbs down, 100 more to go...
