Hi all.... i am hoping to be Banded with in the next month or so. I am going though all the meetings as of right now and they are telling me I am a perfect candidate for the LapBand I am really excited to start this journey and am very aware that I will be changing my eating habits however I have one question for those of you that have been living the banded life....Can you still drink Beer and if so how much? Like a half and can and that is all, a can or 2? I guess I am just worried with Summer comin gup cuz I enjoy having a beer every now and again i the Summer with my friends.... Thanks so much!!!

What kind of crystal light do you mix with your vodka?? adn teh bars don't care that you mix it up? thanks!

I had surgery a week and a half ago and they fixed my hiatal hernia and my friend also had surgery and she did not have to have that fixed and our recoveries have been no different.

I was banded a week ago tomorrow....I have basically only eaten Carnation Breakfast, jell-o, pudding and a little Soup. I have tried putting Protein powder in my drinks and it literally made me sick. I am not sure if I should waut a few days and try it again or what are some other options for trying to get the ptotein in when I am so freshly banded?? Thanks!!!

Hi everyone!! My Surgery is in 5 days....can't believe it!!! I am so excited and nervous all at the same time! If anyone has any advise or thoughts for me that would be awesome!! I kind of know what to expect, I have been on here reading ALOT...and my girlfriend just had the surgery this past Tuesday. I was just wondering how long do you feel crappy?? Thanks so much!!

Hi- I have been hearing alot of talk about taking viatims after the lap band surgery. I was just wonodering what kinds people are taking?? Chewable? Are they a multi-viatmin? Do you take a separate Vitamin D? Just a few questions, trying to get things lined up so I don't have so much to do when if gets closer to surgery Thanks!!!

I just got the call!!!!!!! I am so excited and scared and every other emotion that goes along with that So my question is....I can suppose to have surgery on May 24th however my husband and I have tickets for a baseball game that is about 5 hours away from where I live, so we will drive there and back and spend the weekend in the City. So I would have surgery on Tuesday and then leave for the game on Saturday morning....Do you think that is too much to do after having the lap band surgery???? Thanks so much!!

Hi all~ I am super excited to have the surgery at the end of this month!!! So I have been doing alot of reading on the forum but I was just wondering if anyone who has had the surgery done already has any advise for me?? What to expect after surgery? I have read alot about bad gas...what works best to help that pass or so your not so uncomfortable? Thanks so much!!

yes, sorry the surgery is local however my husband and another couple already have a weekend planned for a city 5 hours away. We would leave Sat. May 28th so 4 days after surgery.....I am thinking it might be a better idean to wait til the week after to have my surgery.

I would have surgery on Tuesday, May 24th and leave for the City on Saturday, May 27th and it would be a 5 hour drive one way. We would come back home on Monday, May 30th. Do you think that is too much to do after surgery??

Hi....I am going to be scheduling my surgery soon and just have a quick question. When you are actually having your surgery are you naked? or do you wear your underwear, ect? Just curious I guess what happens. Thanks!!
