About Me. I am 59 years old husband, father,grandfather. I have been a "fatty" my whole life and have been on a diet for most of my life. I'. 5'10". My highest weight was 335# (1980's) started the talked with my doctor at 285# (2008) signed up at 255# (2010) vertical sleeve started the classes at 251# (October 2010) and schedule d for surgery 3/24 and I am currently at 215#. My goal is not to loss weight because of the vertical sleeve but to have the sleeve help me keep it off. I have been up and down the scales too many times. I am really looking forward to having this done and have very much appreciated the support and comraderie I have found in these forums during this part of my journey. I have a good support base in my family and feel this will be successful for me this time.
