MAY 18TH, CANNOT WAIT

Got my surgery date set, May 18th (13 days)...start my liquid pre-op diet in 6 days...very excited, anybody else getting surgery that day?

All right, so I know what weight I want to get to as my healthy goal....but here's where I don't know how to get there... I'm 375 pounds 5'5"...23 years old...I plan on doing alot of weight training (so i can build muscle and fill in loose skin better)....so with a set up like that, I'd like to reach 190-200 pounds (that's the BIG goal...like from there on maintain) but I want to set up mini-goals...like goals where I can Celebrate when I get there...the thing is I don't know how to put a "time" on it...my first goal is 295 pounds (what I weighed when I was 16 playing football in high school)...so that's 80 pounds to lose...what time-frame should I put that to...I mean I'm looking forward to seeing the numbers go down and that'll encourage me to keep working harder :-) but I don't know what is realistic...6 months??...4 months??...a year??...no clue...thoughts would be appreciated PS...this site is AWESOME..you guys rock

I think I'm liking the non-scale victories more... I think I'll set a goal for the following 1- roller coaster 2- Large T-Shirts (I'm on XXL) No timeframe sounds like the key...I can probably lose 3 pounds a week though since I have mo health problems and I can move pretty well (which makes me think I'm gonna be freaking strong when I lose weight...I mean I've been moving 375 pounds for a long time haba

So had my psych eval today....it was good....they mentioned a couple of things that I never read anywhere or seen before so I'm seeing if somebody can verify it for me. 1-she said that with this surgery I can't have any sugars....EVER...is that true? 2-she also said that if I ever overeat ONCE I'll rip the band of my stomach....uhh, what? just seeing what the truths of those 2 statements were

thanks guys, I figured too...it's ok, I got a good report from her so now that ALL my tests are done, awaiting results and then meet with Dietitian and Nutritionist at the hospital and then schedule surgery.....CANNOT FREAKING WAIT

So tomorrow I go for my Upper GI at 8:30, Lab Work up at 11, then my psych evaluation at 1:20....if everything goes well and the results come out great then I'll be scheduled for surgery ASAP with the hospital :-)... This site has been very helpful just getting input from old and new bandsters out there. Just wanted to introduce myself and where I'm at on my journey :-)
