Can.sleeved

Yes I downloaded the pics from my camera onto my computer then when I go to upload them to my profile it browses to find the pics but then it won't allow me to do it. It just says upload failed...

I have been trying to down load some pics to my profile and it just keeps saying failed. Can anyone advise? Russ

My two cents on the Shirley issue, she was a band to sleeve revision and had her sleeve done by Dr Pompa long before she was the main US coordinator for Betancourt/Dr.Almanza. Also she was definitely NOT fired. She QUIT! This is NOT hearsay from my part for sure! Thanks Stoongal for the FACTS!!!

my husband and I got sleeved the same day. He has been a 100% positive right from the beginning. So I have my own built in support system at home. I think for my self there has been more of a range of feelings. But over all it is wonderful to be free from the slavery of food, we are only one month out and are still adjusting to the new life style. I wanted to find out if other woman found them selves having a problem waking up in the middle of the night for no reason, just laying there wanting to sleep Ha Ha!!

I am not sure who you are referring to but there have been numerous people who have posted the problems coming out of Jerusalem Clinic, especially since Jan.2010. Many of these were not direct (like some who commented about their sister or mother, or other family member or friend) Lets realize that most people will not come to the forums after they have had problems, that's just fact. I have seen many posts by those who do not work for any clinic. I am, and I think everyone on this board are happy that everything went well for you but that does not excuse the report of the amount of problems that Emmanuel/Jerusalem Clinic has been experiencing. I have not seen or heard of complaints coming in on this or any other board about clinics/hospitals other than Emmanuel/Jerusalem Clinic. You may have a list of people to sue rather than the one person you mentioned. There has been those on this board that have gone to Emmanuel/Jerusalem Clinic themselves and did alright BUT now are telling others to stay clear so what does this tell you? Well my wife and I are one month out today, April16th! I am down 27lbs and the love of my life is down 13lbs. Is this about normal? It seems my weight really stalled the last week and a half with most of the loss coming the first 2 1/2 weeks. Still having problems sleeping long enough. You know waking up at 4 or 5. Can anyone tell me how much longer this will go on for? The last two days combined, 48 kilometers on my bike ( sorry my American friends, I am from Canada, about 30 miles) Any input is appreciated, blessings Russ

Thanks everyone for the replies. My wife and I just got back from a nice time biking. I am trying to average around 20k a day, (about 12.5 miles). It is something I really enjoy and if I have to go to the bank or any other errands I just go on my bike. Blessings Russ

The site policy (which is really bogus) says that unless it is your story it is hearsay. So the poor soul that just shared the story of the terrible happening with Linda is HEARSAY right? While although it may qualify as hearsay I believe it has merit. That's why when I stated reports of people that were "standing in front of me" or in other words I was with them it was still hearsay. I hope that people that are thinking of taking the lowest price will read these posts in earnest.

A great post Mary, and yes I agree with you and believe we are all here to support our fellow sleeves regardless where they go. There was some real compassion in your e-mail. I know myself and I am very troubled when I think that someone could be at high risk for infection, leaks or worse, it really bothers me. Drives me crazy! I don't think it should be like going to the Casino...

Are you for real? Most doctors DON'T do over 100 surgeries a month like you stated because they don't consider it save. This isn't like trying to do firewood and to see how many cords a month you can pile up. A lot of doctors only want to do 3 maximum per day! Do the math. Many good doctors go months without problems in their clinics so don't use that as an excuse for a lack of proper precautions etc. You realize that their is not many complaints coming in for other clinics just Jerusalem/Emmanuel? Why is that? In fact I haven't heard of another place... I hope they make the proper changes and things will change on the boards.

Oh by the way pnw218 or anyone else I have never received a dollar from anyone at any time for anything to do with the VSG or these boards...

If I was going to do something sinister would I come on this board and use my full name. I changed to Can.sleeved because just after my sleeve (that I got in Mex.) I had signed up on the board and used my full name later thought that was too out there so I changed to Can.sleeved instead of Russell Murray. That is who I am. I am no insider or whatever else you refer me as. I am a 55 year old man who travels to India and Africa regularly helping the poor. What I stated before is true. I have not heard bad reports from this or any other board except for Jerusalem/Emmanuel you know the one with the fake doctor, Betancourt. My prayer is that this place because of the pressure would clean up its act! God bless Russ

I was heading to J/E for a sleeve myself but people that had been there and that had bad experiences influenced me otherwise. I stood before some that told me their troubles with J/E. But information is empowering and I know some won't care because they will take their chances for $5000 and won't want to hear anything else but maybe others won't take the chance but still go to Mexico and spend 8 to 10,000. Ultimately I just hope J/E gets their act together that would be the best.

Wouldn't this concern you if you heading there. Is the lowest price the most important factor? Re: Dr. Mario Alberto Almanza Reyes i've been keeping this in since i have had my surgery. And i really didn't wanna say anything cause i'm glad that they did a pretty good job with my surgery and i'm loseing weight, and i'm still alive and the people at emanuel medical have been so nice to me i really didn't wanna say too much but... It's not fair to keep certain things a secret. Because i would have wanted to know all these things before i went. I got there on 10/27 and had my surgery 10/29. from all the people that's had surgery those two dates i know of about 4 or 5 infections (some very serious some not so serious)and a LEAK! Now that's all the people that i know of. Their are still some people no one has been able to talk to them since. But 5 people is over half of the people that was in my group. And the lady with the leak it seems like no one in my group really knew what was going on with her and later on in the week i thought she went home. I ended up seeing her in the airport and she told me she was in the hospital the whole time with a leak and she had to do a second surgery. Me and two other patients drove to the airport in the same truck, but they drove her alone ( i think so the other patients wouldn't find out what happened). And i understand infections are apart of the risks of surgeries and it happens, but i think it happens waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much at emanuel medical. they're nice friendly people but i would be scared to go back knowing so many people have so many infections and complication and sometimes leaks cause of emanuel medical. __________________ surgery date: October 29, 2009 Dr. almanaza reyes

FYI..pnw218 was my roomate in mx during our surgery, we get our info firsthand not by hearsay! Hearsay sure when I stand in front of people and they tell me stories of themselves and others it 's good enough for me. Wow don't look now but we even have somebody working for J/E posting. Buyer beware, lowest price is it always worth it? How about steel staples instead of titanium? The word is getting out and we are thankful...
