sleeve-not what I expected. Maybe I should have had the DS or the RNY-I'm really disappointed.. Surgery date 2-15-11, I lost 25 lbs. and then nothing for 2 weeks. Restriction feeling varies-it works better in day time- very little restriction at end of the day---is this strange? Any comments?

I must go back-to-basics! I was trying more solid Proteins and too many carbs and it was too much for me. So eggs, Soups and yogurt are better for now. I can take chicken blended in the Magic Bullet very well also. Also what do you do about the crunchy, carb desires? It this just a mental disorder? Maybe I should try to eat the "fried"? pork rind chips--? Not appealing to me, but maybe. I thought I was a bit internet savvy but am having trouble with this site finding a way to answer the many replies to my post, in mass--is there a way, or do i reply to each person individually? Can anyone offer site navigation help for me? Thanks, HZ

10 days out sleeve not very restrictive?
hcwiu posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi- 10 days out of surgery and I find that the sleeve is not very restrictive...it is very subtle. Is something wrong here? I expected a more dramatic change. Most of the time I don't want food, not hungry or tempted. But when I do eat, I can slip past the 4 oz. "limit" without feeling full...that comes in 5+ minutes or so. Is this the way it is? ( I know, eat slowly etc...but it doesn't feel very different than before the sleeve. I am really confused. I can eat more than 4 oz. easily-I thought this wouldn't happen. Anyone had this too? I don't want to start out on the wrong foot... Thanks. -
Hello Everybody, This is my first post here. I'm having my VSG on 2/15/11 in Mexico. -After having my lap-band removed, after 5 years of struggle I am doing the VSG. I am optimistic about this surgery but my family and best friend are not supportive. I am trying to loose 70 lbs.. I am told about many others who have failed with WLS and re-gained all of their weight back-even after having the total gastric bypass. So people close to me have predicted that I will not be able to maintain a weight loss, and will stretch my stomach out again and re-gain the weight. Creepy thoughts... Well, I have heard about re-gaining all-the weight back after VSG- I do love food and often have no "stopping point" which is why I am having the VSG in the first place. So what do you people have to say about this? Has anyone dealt with this issue too? Thanks for reading this. HC
