I go to curves five days a week and now walk there and back which is 2 miles. I use the scale at curves on Mondays, that way I do not get on one to often at home. Keep it up, it will get easier.

I had mine removed about 10 years ago before I lost weight. I was eating healthy and had decided to have pizza with my kids and omg it hit. I am glad it happened so long ago so I do not have to deal with it now. I go in for hernia surgery on the 9th of November. Not looking forward to it because it is a three day hospital stay. It will though be nice to have the pain gone and be able to see my waist on the side of the hernia again! I continue to loose weight and exercise with mine though. The doctor told me I can walk right away, it just may hurt for a while. At two weeks I should be back at curves. I am 20 pounds from goal and am determined this is not going to slow me down. Good luck

I have 8.5 in my band and am still hungry every two hours. Everyone is different and the band effects us all differently. I eat 6-8 mini meals a day and my body loves it! Good for you knowing when to stop. You are doing great!

If you can try to go longer then 5 minutes, the idea is to get your heart rate up. You could box for 5 minutes and then walk for 5 and then go back to boxing. I keep an idea in my head of how many cals I am taking in. Lately when I eat more (1200) I loose more! (I was doing between 800-1000) You have to find what works for you and stick to it.

5 - mine does not show so I do not know
6 - I eat chicken all the time! Some people it helps to switch to dark meat because it has more moisture in it
7 - yes, but you will always have to work with it
8 - Alcohol slows down your weight loss. you need to find other was to decompress
9 - I take adult gummy multi vitamins

You need to give it time. As long as you are following the rules, it will happen. Drink lots of water, exercise, and make healthy protein choices along with staying away from bread, pasta, rice and sweets.
-
You have a tool, and that is all it is. You do have to work with it and have a lot of self-control. I can eat all kinds of bad things if I want to and not use my tool. I do eat 6 times a day and keep my cals between 800-1000. Push the protein and start walking and you will feel better and stay full longer. When you get the hunger pains try a big glass of water first and if they still keep coming eat a healthy protein meal.

sounds like you need to get more healthy snack in the house. There are all kinds of ways to fill the cravings. Nabiso has the 100 cal snack pack, skinny cow has 100 cal ice cream bars, special k has cracker/chips that are low cal and then there are a lot of low cal bars. I have a recipe for a low cal chicken chill I keep made up and in serving size portions in the fridge. Also laughing cow cheese or cheese sticks, the list can go on and on.

I go to curves, it is a half hour cur cit and gets me done quicker! That is why I went in the beginning, now I walk there and add extra walking time in if I do not work till later in the day. It has become a habit and I enjoy it now.

Yeah you! I am proud of you for taking the step...

Great Job! I also look at the food I am going to eat and ask myself if it will taste as good as losing weight feels and it makes me think twice! I also like seeing the middle number change. Now that I am getting closer to goal the scale moves slower so I set mini goals of changing the middle number!

just walk a little more each day or week. As your body gets stronger you will be able to go further. Walk to the mail box when that gets good walk down the street a few houses. It works, I started with 1/2 a mile and am up to 5 a day now. You can do it!
-
I would not lower your cals, what about water and exercise! Also how much protein are you getting in?
-
still take my meds, one I got permission to break open into my mouth and I am still doing great with it. I was told that during this journey is not the time to go off our meds. There are so many ups and downs with weight loss that you may even need to up your dose.

The reason a lot of us do well with the band is because we make ourselves accountable for what we put in our mouths and what exercise we get. I like you always find time and it makes a big difference. You said what I feel what I feel and we all know that the band is just a tool we have to make work for us, not a magic wand!

Are you going out and walking yet. Thats what got me going and my Dr wanted me taking walks asvp
-
you need to get more exercise in and also how much water are you drinking? Also get rid of the scale and try only weighing once a week. Before I could go to the gym I walked everyday starting on my day 7 by 3 weeks I stared at curves and go 5 days a week. (I still walk 6 days a week also) It does not take long and it really gets things moving. YOU CAN DO IT!

There is a lot of tummy noise with the lap band. I can get rather noisy!

I went back to work on day 4 and I have a semi physical job and am on my feet all day and did fine. Pre-op diet was 1 lean c. frozen meal and 4 protein shakes. Every dr has different ones.

last week I was 200.6 ugh!! Then I pulled a muscle so when I went to weigh in this week my thought were "their is no way I have not been able to walk" (still went to curves though) and what do you know, 197.4!! It feels good in my head, but now that I am here it is not as big of deal as I thought it would be! I did treat myself to a couple size 14 summer dresses. Pretty good since the last dress I bought was a size 26! You will do it.....it will sneak right up on you!

keep up the great work! Your head is in the right place and that makes a lot of difference.
