while I was losing my weight, I ate every two hours and yes it was the tummy growling hunger. I just picked healthy snacks and it worked well for me. Everyone has to do what is best for there body in this journey. As for the green zone, I am finally there! I lost all my wight before I hit it but thats ok, it is easier to keep the weight off this way! Good luck

I have a tall skinny Hazelnut latte from starbucks often. It is 90 cals and has helped keep me on track and not having things I shouldn't. I lost 130 pounds in nine months and it did not slow me down at all!

Chicken can be the problem, make sure it is moist and I cut mine up and then chew very well. I was told also to eat dark meat chicken since it is also moister than white. Great job on the weight loss you are doing great

I am not a quitter either! On the serious side this is all quite interesting and until they have been in our shoes there perspective will never be quite right.

You could still be swollen from Wednesdays episode. Also Eggs can be a problem for some bansters. I can eat eggs some days and others forget it. Try to eat soft foods for a day and you will feel a lot better. Keep up the wonderful work!

It might help to increase your calories. I ate 800 to 1000 my first 6 months and lost 100 pounds! Since then I have increased to 1200 and have lost another 30 pounds with 12 left till goal. Sometimes not eating enough will stall your weightloss. Remember though you are in the healing stage and don't worry to much about it.

Love your post! I feel like that some days about exercise, but I know if I do not drag myself out to the gym I will return to old habits and being down 130 pounds makes it all worth it!
@ formerly fluffy I am yet to be at good restriction, it takes will power to say no to foods we should not eat and knowing when to stop eating what we do. I have learned the difference between being satisfied and being full.

Average is supose to be 2 pounds a week. Some of us lose more, some of us lose less. It is all up to you and how you eat, how much exercise you get and if you are drinking enough water. I hit my 100 pound mark at my 6 month mark, and now at 9 months I am down 130 but it has slowed way down These last 12 pounds are making me work harder to get off, but I knew that would happen so I was prepared for the slow down. Don't sweat it, it will happen and the weight will come off.

You can do the same at myfitnesspal.com also

I went through the just one more bite also. I have learned to get up and dump what I am eating! I also eat 6 times a day. It works for me and keeps that angry growl noise down! I was not into exercise when I started either but you can do this, just walk and keeping on walking. The scale will start moving and you will do more to keep it going down. Good luck

You can do this, look how much you have already lost! My guess is you will be down more than another 70 by next Christmas. I have lost 132 since my surgery 4/4/11 and plan on being at goal by my 1 year. Just remember it is about portion control and quality of food. I eat 6 small meals a day because I get hungry and I have 8.5ccs in my 14cc band. Good luck and you can do this.

I also had some sweet treats this week and the funny thing is that I have been at a stand still with my weight (I am down 132 with 12 left till goal) for about a month, I got on the scale at the gym the next day and was down 1 1/2 pounds! I guess my body wanted more calories! Anyway don't beat yourself up you can and will do this. Things will get easier in a few weeks and all these temptations will be gone. I normally treat myself daily to a skinny cow ice-cream or a 100 cal nabisco snack bag, it keeps me on track and I do not feel deprived.

keep up the great work, I guess mens underwear don't come with spandex in them like some of the womens, they stay up better! Keep up the great work, wonderful things are happening for you.

I eat small amounts every 2-3 hours. It has worked great for me, you have to do what feels right for your body and your band. Also make sure you are getting lots of protein first when you eat. It keeps you from getting hungry longer. Good luck
-
Being 49 is great! (thats where I am) you will do great. I used EAS protein drinks and would heat up the chocolate one like coco. It will not be long and you will be eating and able to get all your protein in. Good luck

Love your post! I had the toppings off a piece of pizza with my family the other night and my Bandolina told a couple of my other organs to teach me a lesson. All I can say is lesson learned!
-
could it be that you are trying to eat to much? listen to your body and eat slowly, your band will let you know when you are full. Also knowing the difference between wanting more and being satisfied is another big one. It has took me a good six months to realize "hey I do not need to finish this, I am satisfied!"
Good luck

Sounds like you are using stress as an excuse to eat what you know you should not. Start keeping healthy things with you so when you want to stress eat you can turn to them. Keep a protein bar in your bag, it is easy to take out and eat and you will be happier with yourself.

you can buy calorie free ranch and BBQ sauce, It is made by Walden Farms

You really need to make sure you are getting in all your protein everyday. I track my at myfitnesspal.com and always go over. I also take my multi vitamins and have never had an issue with hair loss. You might also contact your dr and see what he has to say.

You got me to thinking, in another 7 pounds I will have lost 90 percent of the weight I need to lose! I have gone from 304 to 177. A normal bmi for me would be 152. I have lost like you by working with my lap band.

Lee this journey takes time and a lot of work on our parts. I have worked hard to get to where I am and know my work is paying off. Four months is not long at all, some bandsters take years to lose their weight. I all depends on how you use your tool. Give yourself time and follow the program. You can do it

The temptation will always be there, but next time you want to buy something ask your self if it will taste as good as loosing weight feels. Thats how I do it and I walk away from it. I do have skinny cow ice cream every night which seems to keep the cravings away.
