    so horribly frustrated....NOT WORKING!

sounds like it is time to put yourself first and start putting your health first. I eat around 800 to 1000 calories a day of mostly protein. I go to curves 5 times a week and ride or walk 6 days a week. It does take a lot of effort, but I am worth it! good luck
  3. I am at 9cc in my 14cc band. I had no issues before I got my last fill, but now I have to be careful how fast I eat and I must chew well. I seem to get stuck every few days. Also no more beef for me. It does not like my band. I have had 5 fills to get to this point. As for eating to much, it is all about self control. The band is a tool to help you, but you have to work with it and cut back. I eat every two hours during the day due to hunger, but it is small amounts and mostly protein. Good luck on your journey

    slowing going down

I know how you feel, I have gone from a 26 to a tight 14 since April. I look at the clothes and think there is no way I can get into that and then I do! I guess the one thing that is hard to change is your body image. Congrats

    No Energy

Are you getting out and walking? Getting enough calories in? How about chicken or beef broth? I was back to work at day four and just made sure I was getting lots of protein and I felt fine.

never gave it up, never will! I make a strong latte with skim milk every morning and enjoy it! I have had now problems from it and continue with a wonderful weight-loss. It is up to you what you put in your body..

    I have lots of questions

I was like you up until my last fill 2 weeks ago. Now I know I have a band! I have been loosing steady since day one so I would not worry to much. Some of us just have a easier time with the band. I was also told I could have up to 1 cup of food, you have to do what works best for you and you will figure it out. Me, I have to eat 6 small meals a day. Thats what work for me...Good luck you will do great

    100lbs in under 6 months?

5 days till I am at the 5 month mark and I am down 102 pounds, so it is doable, but it takes a lot of work and exercise. I eat healthy and go to curves 5 days a week and ride my stationary bike 6 to 7 times a week. My diet is not perfect, but I do push the protein and feel good. I do eat six times a day, but it is all about what works best for you. I keep my calories at around 1000. Some days I get home and realize I need to eat more because I have not gotten enough calorie wise for the day. I find it funny when it was never a problem before my band! I guess it is all part of our new life style and that is not a problem for me. Oh I have also had no hair loss or side effects from the weight loss. Good luck on your journey

    Bad year

have you thought about a stationary bike, one you can sit back in?
  15. I am still here also! Been busy working my lap-band life style! I am now down 102 since we started, that's in just under 5 months! I could never have done this without my band and am thankful I went ahead and got my "tool". I am at 9 in my 14 band, my last fill was 1cc and I think it should have been 1/2 a cc. I have in the last two weeks had some of the things you all have talked about for the first time.I Slimed, bp,and have gotten stuck, I think I just have to learn to chew, chew, chew, and slow down. Up until now I did not have to and boy it makes a difference! .. I go to Curves 5 days a week and with the hot weather hope on my stationery bike for 1/2 hour in the evening. I read new posts on lbt on my laptop while I ride and it goes by quickly. I have the feeling I am going to have to start to push myself harder soon to get of my last 42 pounds off. The scary part will be reaching goal and maintaining it,I guess if I look at it as a challenge like the weight loss is it might be easier. As for eating, I have treats almost everyday! Fiber one brownies in the microwave for 20 seconds are wonderful! I also like the weight watcher ice cream bars. I eat healthy otherwise and really push my Protein. I have had no hair loss or other sideeffects from weight loss other than the saggy breasts and tummy. But that can be dealt with in the future!! I feel great and hope everyone else does also p.s. only 2 pound till onderland!

    Feeling a little discouraged

you do not want to move to fast. I was banded on 4/4/11 and have had know problems until two weeks ago when I got my 5th fill bringing me up 9 in my 14 band. I enjoyed my band until now. Now I know what people are talking about. I am thinking of getting 1/2 of my last fill taken out. I get stuck to often and do not like to be in pain. Anyway my point is as long as you are loosing weight and eating right don't worry about it.

    Goal weight

The one thing that bothers me about the big BMI is it does not take in bone structure. I have a large bone structure and will still be considered overweight when I hit my goal of 160 (I am also 5'5) Any thinner and I will look sick, so set your own goal, you know your body and will know when you hit the weight you look and feel your best at.

    comment from my mom

for me that is a lot of food to eat, but we are all different. I have to eat 6 times a day because I am hungry every two or so hours. I think your mom was just trying to be helpful and since she is around people who are banded she has seen what they eat. But like I said, we are all different, most of us were told no more than 1 cup of food at a time and I find that is usually to much for me. It is a good thing though, it keeps me from over eating! Good luck and I would not worry to much about your mom, this is your band and you are learning how to use your tool right now. As long as you are loosing and feel good you are doing what is right for you.

    4 fills since March...

I have 9cc in a 14cc band now and I still get hungry every two or three hours. I have found that I have to eat 5 to 6 times a day and I am find with that. since I have gotten used to eating more often, I am doing great. We are all so different and finding what works for you is the toughest part. Good luck and just keep moving along and don't worry.
  25. Bread is a big no no with the band. I follow the rules and have had great results. It did take a few months to get over the no drinking with meals thing, but I don't and I do not miss it. I got lab band to succeed and I do not want to mess it up doing the wrong thing. good luck
