Wow, Nix, thanks for sharing. An unexpected consequence of getting the band, I guess. I suppose it makes sense that eating less food would be slowing down the rate that stuff is processed through your body. Scary stuff! I hope you keep your job - like a previous poster said, maybe you can negotiate a compromise where you go to drug counselling or a program or something and get to keep your job? And of course they can keep testing you and since you're not going to be smoking any more, it won't be a problem.

I had a cold a couple fo weeks ago, and was just not hungry for about 4 days. I didn't throw up, but I'm sure if I'd had more restriction in my band I would have. I hope you're feeling better soon!

Nope, can't see it. I can feel it if I lay on my side and then press the area hard with the flat of my palm.

I use obagi products that I get from my cosmetic dermatologist - all used together, they lighten sun spots and make wrinkles shallower. It also helps with acne, which I still have thanks to PCOS. I have one deep vertical forehead wrinkle that I've had botoxed.

Congratulations! It must feel so good to say goodbye to those 200 pounds forever!

I haven't had anything get stuck yet. I eat sushi at least twice a week. I'm only newly banded, though (2 months), so maybe I'll have to give up some things eventually.

I've been buying clothes that are too small when I've found them on clearance too. I have quite a nice wardrobe building up that I should be able to wear in a few months! You're not crazy! (Or, if you are, then I am too!!!)

I guess it's just genetic where your fat deposits want to hang out... Although I don't know where I got my genes from because my mum is petite with smooth curved hips, and my grandma was a skinny straight-up-and-down lady!

I've been off metformin since two weeks after my surgery, which was 8 weeks ago.

I've been banded 8.5 weeks and I've lost 25 pounds.

Wow - what an achievement! You must be so proud of yourself! The change is amazing! Even the angle of your arm tattoo has changed!

I usually have a smoothie for breakfast (almond/oat/fruit/yoghurt/milk). lunch is often a sandwich, sushi or leftover dinner. Dinner is usally a chicken and vegetable curry and rice or something like that. Snacks are usually fruit but sometimes a cookie. Also I have a couple of skim lattes during the day.

What is the 20-30 limit? Are you supposed to not eat longer than that? Or are you supposed to eat for that long? I don't get it?

My first fill was 6.5 weeks after surgery. It's to give your stomach ample time to heal from the surgery.

My chin doesn't get red at all from the laser. When it's being done it's like a flick from a hair band or something, and it feels hot, but that's it. No redness or soreness afterwards.
