    leg compression cuffs and heparin shots oh my~!! Woke up in the ICU with these groovy leg compression cuffs on .... they go from my ankle to my mid-thigh, and fill with air starting at the bottom, then middle and then top, to push my blood back up my legs... groovy, except when you have to go to the potty and it requires un-velcroing yourself from these manacles :) ... but its all good... oh and was wondering why my tummy hurt on the right, pulled up my stomach and took a looksee... ...

    finally out of the ICU.. yay!!!! spent a day and a half in the ICU cuz of my asthma and low blood oxygen levels and then cuz my white blood cell count was really high after my surgery.. being stuck in the ICU sucked cuz I couldn't get up and walk...so the gas pain was terrible behind my sternum and in my back :( it's getting better though...I've been cruising the corridor outside my room...

    So, I want the clothes and the better sex I also want my migraines to reduce (they will never go away, I've had them since elementary school) and I want my asthma to reduce ... I'm sure my lungs will work better if there is less blood being pumped through my big fat body to oxygenate of course it wont go away either, but an improvement will be nice oh, and my low blood pressure to improve !!!! no more fainting when I stand up too fast or look up at the ceiling would be lovely... and these gorgeous blue suede thigh-high boots I saw online the other day....

    i'm in Seoul~!!! i'm in my hotel room a few buildings over from the hospital... it's 11:48 pm Tuesday.. on the plane over I was having second thoughts... LIKE.. am I crazy to do this?? what if I die!! ... then I took a shower in my hotel and looked in the mirror and got all of the confirmation i needed.. tomorrow is my testing day, so I cant drink anything after midnight... oooh...make that 10 minutes from now :) 2 days till my life begins again!!

    Ok I'm packing to head to my surgery, and I cant decide if I should take a wheeled carry on or my hiking backpack.. The pack will be more convenient today and tomorrow, but will it kill me coming home next week??? Advice please!! (FYI... I'm taking my smallish laptop with me)

    am so busy!! trying to get my house cleaned and everything taken care of... surgery is in 3 days (Thursday), but I'm flying to Seoul tomorrow evening after work, cuz I have to check into the hospital by 8 on Wed. for my pre-op testing (which was supposed to take 2 days, but they reduced to 1 for me :) or they wont do my surgery... It's already midnight Monday here and I have so many things to do tonight!!! :)

    am very envious of all of you who live in the US and can pop into a local store and buy low-fat and sugar-free foods... no sugar-free Jello for me, no ready made shakes, or any of that... :( bummer ... I found chewable children's vitamins, in the most horrible chocolate flavor and they cost me $25.. oh well... I'm just grateful to get this done!! :) Yay me!!

    Having a hard time and worried

    My problem is that when I have a goal I automatically try to sabotage myself. It sounds like you may be the same way. Try to take it one day at a time... cuz eating is an addiction... just like alcohol and drugs. When you fall off the wagon, don't just say the hell with it, if I've eaten this one bad thing, I might as well as eat that other bad thing, this is exactly my style, and it has been really hard to break, but it is possible. I totally agree with meggiep... you need a goal outfit. Mine is a little navy blue dress in a size 14... That may seem ridiculous to some of the losers now, but wow that is a huge goal for me!! Anyway, take your goal outfit and hang it where you can see it where you normally eat, be it in the kitchen, living room, or bedroom. When you are stuffing yourself silly and you look at it, it will make you feel sick.

    So, I saw a post about the leak test and it occurred to me that I never asked my doctor about it... so I emailed him at 11pm on Thursday (today) and just got a reply (11:49 pm same day) ... just one more reason I love this guy... btw. he said he does one during the surgery and one the next day, which seems standard :) I feel better.. am getting a tad bit nervous

    I was a tight 26/28 at 360... now I'm down to 298 and I'm wearing 22s and 24s... my 22 pants fit, but my 22 jeans are so tight at the waist that they feel like they will explode, so I dare not wear them ..... I know that at 195 I will be a size 12/14 with a large top (from prior experience)

    Thanks~!!! will do Most iron supplements say: Avoid taking antacids, dairy products, tea, or coffee within 2 hours before or after this medication because they will decrease its effectiveness. Do not lie down for 30 minutes after taking this medication. i didn't actually know this either until my pharmacist told me
