July 18th for me
-
I hate sugar free drinks. I cant stand the chemical taste of artificial sugar. Plus I think it is horrible for our health. I am working to deal with my sugar issues but just wondering during the early soft food stage did anyone eat regular Jello, pudding, freeze pops ??? Just wondering I know about stevia and the other natural sugar substitutes

31-32 bmi considering lapband this year
kimmibjones1969 replied to mamamckinzie's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
first I kept questioning myself, "surgery I must be crazy surely I can loose 60lbs without surgery" Well I can lose 60lbs. without surgery. But I will gain it all back plus a little extra in 6 months. I just want to stop thinking about being over weight every second. I will think about what I eat, and exercise and how much I chew, fine but I was just in this fear cycle before. So my BMI is 31 now in 2 years at this rate it will be 35 and when I am 50 it will be at 40. My trend is to gain. I want to stop!!!! The DR. I am working with seems to do a lot of "low" BMI surgery. So I am going for it . I am informed and I feel like I understand what I am in for and I am doing it!! Scheduled for my nutrition class June 30th and the surgery is July 18th. I will let you know how it goes -
Amazing!!!! is that 60 lbs. ? in 2 months? Amazing! congratulations!

My surgery is scheduled for July 18!!! I thought I would be thrilled but now I am afraid I am making the wrong decision and I will be one of the banders who does not loose any weight. I think I understand all the things that need to be done to make me successful, but what if I can't do it??? Small portions, chew, don't drink during meals, exercise. I know the rules now how to loose weight and keep it off but I can't seem follow those rules. I read a lot of the posts under struggling lap banders and I could totally be one of them too. Part of me is like if I keep doing what I am doing now I will keep getting the same results and lap band is my attempt to do something different but what if really I need to change something else??????????? I don't know I have a bmi of 32 now, and have been up and down for 15 years(mostly up) . I don't know what to do

Thank is so great!!! I did not keep any of my skinnier clothes, they made me feel horrible to just see them hanging there. Not sure what I am going to do if I really loose weight. I guess I will figure that out in a few months Congratulation -

Thank you all for your comments. It helps to hear others perspectives. If I keep doing the same thing over and over again I will keep getting the same results. I hope I can make this work for me. I look forward to reading about how this is all going for all of you. -

Do i qualify for a LB?
kimmibjones1969 replied to mousie's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I am of a similar BMI and I have a consult tomorrow. I will let you know what I find out. Right now I feel I could talk my self out of this. I am so tired of constantly thinking about my weight and feeling bad about it. This has been an issue for 15 years. I know this seems drastic to some at our "low" BMI but why wait till I am at a bmi of 35 or 40 to make the same decision ?? -

Can anyone tell me about your pre op visit. How was your height and weight information collected? What about the scale? do you feel it was close to the weight you got at home? higher or lower? I am at a bmi of 34 and want to have insurance cover my surgery. Just wondering if there is a few lbs. difference in scales -
