Hey Shirley! I didn't order anything from her yet, just checked out her site. I ended up getting the protein powder from Walmart (Body Fortress) and it's actually pretty good! Low cal, sugar and high protein too! It's only $15 so I think I'm gonna stick with that for now (I'm currently waiting on approval so I'm just trying to get used to protein shakes and having them for breakfast).

Thanks for the update! I'm having hernia repair too but hopefully my insurance will cover the band. I'm currently waiting on approval. Good luck toyou!

I think everything that they are having you do is making sure you are medically cleared for surgery. I had to do all the bells and whistles too, psych eval, pulmonary, etc. What location are you going to? I'm in Houston and my patient advocate is Rachel. So far they have been very good with everything. Please keep me updated!

hey! thanks for your message! I'm not sure about your process because my insurance doesn't have an exclusion. Per my insurance, I have to be bmi >40, 6months of dr visits, and medical clearance. I completed the 6months last Friday so right now I'm just waiting for approval right now. <> Is the extra surgery you are having hiatal hernia? I am doing that too! Woohoo.

I have aetna for my primary and they debuted bc I don't have 2 years weight history. I'm having to use my secondary insurance for coverage. -

Eyeonprize- I have been very selective on who knows about my surgery as well and I do not want my kids to know. I dont have a definitive answer as to why, I just don't. -

I am 29 and in Katy, TX which is west of Houston. I'm going through True Results and they have handled everything for me. All I had to do was show up once a month for my visits. I went through a long stretch of 'last supper syndrome' and have gained about 6lbs!! But now, I'm back on track and currently waiting on approval (fingers crossed!!). Do you think that will delay my approval?? I should be having surgery in October if all goes well. My surgeon is Dr. Reilly. Good luck everyone! -

Hello! I, too, and shooting for an October surgery date. I had my last weigh-in on Friday and they were supposed to submit my insurance for approval today BUT, they lost my denial letter for my primary...grrrr . So we have to wait 24-48 to get another one so they can submit to my secondary insurance (i have completed all the qualifications for the secondary, didn't meet my primary requirements). So best of luck to ya! Please keep us updated on your journey! -

I was to not lose weight too so I'm guessing they will use my ending weight. The first couple of months I had last support syndrome (lol) so ive really been working hard to make better food choices (non processed, lots of fruit and veggies) and ive gained 4lbs!! My last dr visit was friday and they are submitting me on monday! Fingers crossed and good luck to you! -

That's GREAT Shirley!! You can get there just keep up the hard work! I'm doing great. I have MY LAST dr. visit tomorrow morning and they'll be able to submit me to my insurance!
