HI everyone, I had my surgery on the 9th and had a BM on the 11th... everyone is different just relax and let nature take its course

ok, so here it is two days after my surgery and I have absolutely NO appetite and having to chew the Vitamins and get the rx mes down is a huge chore for me. Once I am able to get all of this in I am feeling so nausous that I can't even eat the whole Protein shake. Did you guys go through this too ? my stomach constantly hurts and i am keep chalking it up to it being so soon after the surgery. I am sure you guys have heard this story many many times but i guess it just takes time for the body to heal........ Please tell me I am not crazy and that this is normal... good luck to everyone ! no offense but you are delusional for me i started craving food after 5 days, I wish you all the best though. had my surgery yesterday and have not been hungry since.

I was banded today, in and home within 5 hours, completely smooth (just like butter). at my weigh in after the two week liquid diet i have lost 30 pounds, i have two more weeks of liquids and then i get to start the mushie stage but may "experiment" with gucamole, hummus, ect... we'll see what happens with that . the only issues i am having is the gas everyone talks about... all in all it was a breeze.

Today is day 9 of my liquid diet and my scale shows that I am down 25 pounds, but I will know for sure on Thursday at my pre-op appointment with my surgeon. I had to eggs last night cause my body felt like it was shutting down.. between the she dizziness and the vertigo and weakness feelings i have been having my surgeon pulled me out of work. anyone else eat anything 1 week prior to their knife date ? Any info is appreciated

May 9th at 10am. Today is day 9 of the liquid diet and i had eggs last night cause the cravings were over the top. I will tell the surgeon when I do my pre-op on Thursday. Did anyone else eat something a week prior to their surgery ? Good Luck everyone..........

Today is day 6 of the pre-op diet and I can't believe I have another three weeks of this..... ( 4 weeks of liquids followed by 1 weeks mushies and 1 week of solids). I am starving and craving real food............ but on the other hand this is the start of a new life style right ???? Just thought I would vent.

if i were you i would call the surgeon and tell them and see if they will reschedule you so that you can start fresh. He/She may open you up and refuse to do it.

I am on day 5 of this liquid diet and i can see in my face where I have lost , drink tons of water and be mindful of how many calories you are consuming . Good Luck !!!

HI guys, I am on my 4th day of the strict liquid diet ( under 1000 calories and under 80grams of protein) . I am feeling nausea and light-headedness (if that is even a word). Anyone else have these issues ? I am contiplating having my Dr. take me out of work a week early as I cannot concentrate at work and am afraid of making some serious mistakes at work (legal docs) Anyone have these issues ?

I am only on day 4 and I have not cheated at all........ I am having a heck of a time with cravings though....... I find my treat at night (sugar free pop-sicles) help me get through the evening. Good luck, you can do it !

I read more than I post and I am in my mid 40's, actually my surgery date is on my birthday ...may 9th at 10am and I am on my second day of the liquid diet. It is rough but I am following my Dr,'s orders to the T . My preop is next week and I am looking forward to weighing myself to see if I lost anything, I can already breathe better !!! amazing ! I have a band date of 5/9 (which happens to be my birthday ) and i was wondering if anyone has tried the chicken Soup unjry Protein product ? or can anyone recommed something different ? i begin my liquid diet a week from today :) and the scary part is that i am looking forward to it..... i think after day 1 i will change my mind though

It is the weirdest thing....... its like falling asleep really fast and not dreaming and sleeping really hard until you start to slowly wake up. it's not bad at all. I have only been put out once but it was the best sleep i ever had Good luck on your journey

Yayyyyyyyyy for you ! I am just waiting for a date and am getting excited to start the pre op diet (crazy i know but it signals a start ) . use this tool to get to your goal but keep in mind that it's as only as good as you use it

So I am at around 4003's ( and i can't believe I am broadcasting this ). I looked in the mirror last night after showering and I thought "OMG ! what have I done to myself" I cant believe I let myself go this far. I know there are a lot of ladies but are there any men that have had this much weight to loose ? I would love to hear your stories / advice. I have been approved by the insurance company and am just waiting to get a surgery date. Good luck to everyone, we can do this you guys ! Chuck

Anyone out there who has over 150#'s to loose ? I am at around 400#'s and want to get down to 250 or 200 depending on how I feel. My question is if anyone else has this much or had this much to loose ? I get that men loose quicker than the women but am looking to see at what loss does the plateau start. Any help would be great. Chuck

I too have UHC and did not have the history and they approved me anyways without it. They are really smooth to deal with and I had my approval within two weeks. Good Luck on your journey ! Chuck
