    Anybody watch dr phil today!?

*giggle @stcyt* you go girl! i know what you are all saying. i feel anything but appealing when i am carrying around a little "extra" hehe. it is hard to be intimate when u feel imperfect. i know i feel that way. someone particular told me, when i mentioned my surgery, i was already pretty. and asked if i really thought i needed to do this. for the first time in my adult life, someone suggested that i was attractive. and i almost backed out. its good to have those ppl in our lives, that still believe in us, and will still like/love us, no matter what.

    Newbie Here and a ?

okay, i am one of those who are overweight with few (if any) co-morbidities. in all honesty i am bout 125 pounds over my ideal weight. And like everyone else here, i just wanna be healthy again, and not get to the point where i have to deal with morbidities. so here is my question....those of you like me, with none, did you have a difficult time getting your insurance to cover your procedure? i am quite exhausted from the yo-yo diets and diet failure depression. it was very hard for me to say, "i cant do this without help" and surgery was always a last resort for me, but i am ready now, to do it, and start the road to a healthier me.
  3. too funny...:blushing: but i am thinking how i can't wait till that day. i think after all the time i have spent fighting the fight, i wouldn't mind it so much. :001_smile: maybe that sounds crazy, but thats me lol congrats on your success thus far! and wishing much more for u!!

    Lap band or Gastric Sleeve???

I am new here myself and havent had my surgery either. but after doing all my research, i decided to go with the vsg. only because i dont like the idea of a foreign body inside of me, and i do like the fact that i can eventually go back to a normal diet. i mean, eating without avoiding certain foods, and smaller portions. the slipping, eroding, that all kinda scares me. it was a big decision and i did tons of research...and still am :lol0: but that is where i am right now with it. i wish you the best of luck, and who knows...we may be learning together!
