November Sleevers....how Much Have You Lost?
ashleyxx replied to Kristin's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yes I have gone through a few long plateaus! I guess it will depend on a few things, how much you eat, what you eat, how much you have to lose etc.. What I did and it broke my stall was basicly go back to basics, grilled chicken, deli meats, tuna fish, veggies, yogurt, Protein shakes, cheese, nuts, I try my best to stay away from white carbs (bread, rice, potatos) If I want some bread type stuff I have low carb wraps, or the lower carb wasa crackers. -
That's amazing, congrats!!

Is Anyone Afraid Of Losing Too Much Weight?
ashleyxx replied to beba238's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
No, I dont think I have ever worried about losing too much! I do sometimes worry though if I will ever make it to goal, sometimes I feel I will hit a certain weight and not be able to lose anymore. -
I have been with my BF for about the same ammount of time, when I first told him he was kind of shocked and was worried. He was against it at first, but I told him its my choice, I have to live in this body and explained to him everything, he came around and has supported me 100%. I am so glad I have had surgery and he is also, I can do so much more things and not get winded and be in horrible pain. P.S. Sex is so MUCH better! haha

I went to a local Italian restaurant last week for my grandmas birthday and noticed on their menu that they had a split fee, I never heard of one before and figured it was just that place but I guess not!

Lapband Vs Sleeve
ashleyxx replied to michelleooo513's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Im so glad I found out about the sleeve when I was researching WLS, for me it was the best option, like sleevedude said, if it wasnt a option I dont think I would have had WLS. From a lot of things I have read most Lap Banders have to either get the band taken out sometime down the road, or revise to another surgery, not trying to steer you in any direction, but make sure you do a lot of research. Wishing you the best of luck! -
