I know of him by name, Ive heard hes a really great surgeon. Well for me it was longer then most. I had my first consultation in Jan/Feb of 2011, at the time Dr.Hendrick was at Henry Ford in Wyandotte and was transferring to Harper, so I had to wait a few months for him to get situated over at Harper. I also had to have a sleep study, and a EGD, sometimes it takes sometime to get in to see them. I ended up having surgery in November of 2011. Once my papers were actually submitted to insurance I was approved in 2 days, and they gave me a surgery date the next week.

Which surgeons were you looking at? I was sleeved at Harper by Dr.Hendrick. I was kinda worried at first about Harper because I read some bad reviews from a few years ago about the staff. I was very pleased with my stay, the nurses and staff I had were awesome, they were very nice and checked on me very often to make sure I was in no pain.

I've been overweight since I was around 4, never in my life have I ever been thin.

You def aren't alone, I'm close to being two years and not at goal. For months and months I gain and lose the same 5 pounds, very annoying. These last couple days I've changed my eating habits, Protein and low carb, I've already dropped a few pounds (Water weight I'm sure) but I'm determined to lose the rest of this weight. When I was first sleeved I didn't have much of one but after a month since I want to all day everyday hahah

I quit a few months prior to my VSG and was smoke free for about a year and a half after that but started back up again. I've tried a few times but haven't had any luck, maybe I'll try those e-cigarettes and see how that is.

Glad to hear your doing well, my BF (who isn't sleeved) has Diverticulitis and when he had his first episode of it he said it was one of the most painful things he has ever experienced.

It happens to most of us.. I think that's one of the spots I lost weight in first.

My signature is messed up, I'm really around 220, trying to figure out how to fix it (I cant remember lol!) Yes I don't want to be done yet, I still want to lose around 50ish pounds. I've been cutting back a lot, taking out the white carbs and sugar, for awhile I was eating "regularly" and allowing myself foods I shouldn't have been eating, I haven't gain, but I haven't either lost any weight in a long time.

I drink the Monster Rehabs, they are non-carbonated, the one I really like is lemonade and tea. They are 10 calories and have a few grams of sugar so maybe wait awhile before trying them. Sent from my iPhone using VST
