Suck It Up The Dr Says

I did not have to have a drain so I have no advice on that. Im so sorry to hear you are in so much pain, I hope it gets better!
  5. I love the premier chocolate shakes, so good! I buy mine at Meijer, for me they can get kinda expensive, they sell them in a 4 pack, maybe it would be cheaper if you buy them in bulk at costco or Sams Clu b. I've been looking for Protein that is powered that taste good, I ordered a sample pack of nectar at BJ's Baratric, you get to choose what flavors you like and you get 11, Im hoping I like one of those so I can just buy a huge tub of protein from now on lol.

    Loose Skin?!?!

Theres a lot of info on it, even videos people have made, heres some info I found, I'll just copy and paste. It is WELL known that the Skin is the LARGEST Organ in the Body, and is responsible for one-fourth of the Body's Detoxification each day, also making it, one of the most IMPORTANT Elimination Organs! The Skin is also known as the "3rd" Kidneys and the Lungs are known as the "2nd" Kidneys. TOXICITY can gather beneath the Skin's Surface from such COMMON Influences such as IMPROPER pH levels in Body, Soaps, Skin Creams and Anti-Perspirants, plus Synthetic Fibers worn NEXT to the Skin with ANY of them contributing to a variety of Skin Problems and Conditions. When you do Skin Brushing, you HELP your Lymph System to CLEAN itself of the TOXINS, that COLLECT in the Lymph Glands. You use a Simple Technique to IMPROVE the Surface Circulation on the Skin and KEEP the Pores of the Skin OPEN, encouraging your Body's Discharge of Metabolic Wastes, and resulting in an IMPROVED ability to COMBAT Bacteria, plus HELPING your Skin to look and feel HEALTHIER and MORE RESILIENT! Skin Brushing is a PERFECT Treatment for SELF-HELP Enthusiasts. Benefits: TIGHTENS Skin. HELPS Digestion. REMOVES Cellulite. STIMULATES Circulation. INCREASES Cell Renewal. CLEANS Lymphatic System. REMOVES Dead Skin Layers. STRENGTHENS Immune System. IMPROVES Exchange between Cells. STIMULATES the Glands, thus helping ALL of the Body Systems to perform at PEAK EFFICIENCY! How To Do: Buy a NATURAL, NOT Synthetic, Bristle Brush, since it does NOT SCRATCH the Surface of the Skin. Buy a Brush with a LONG Handle, so that you're ABLE to get to the Areas of your Body, that are NOT EASY to reach, when doing your own Skin Brushing. Skin Brush, before Showering or Bathing, at least ONCE per day, and TWICE, if possible. Do NOT wet Skin, since it will NOT have the SAME Effect, because this stretches the Skin. ALWAYS Skin Brush towards the Heart. Do Circular Counter-Clockwise Strokes on the Abdomen. Do LIGHTER Strokes over and around Breasts, but do NOT Brush the Nipples. Brush each part of the Body several times VIGOROUSLY, COMPLETELY Brushing the WHOLE Body. Brush the Soles of the Feet FIRST, because the Nerve Endings there affect the WHOLE Body, next Brush the Ankles, Calves, and Thighs, then Brush across your Stomach and Buttocks and lastly Brush your Hands to the Arms. Take a WARM Bath or Shower, which should always be followed by a COOL Rinse at the end to INVIGORATE Blood Circulation and STIMULATE Surface Warmth. Wash your Brush every few Weeks in Water and let it DRY.

    Loose Skin?!?!

I read about skin brushing a long time ago (about 7 years ago on a Low Carb forum) and from what I read it helps (of course its not going to be a miracle) I did it a few times, but never stuck with it to see any results. Thanks for mentioning it, I totally forgot and think I would like to try it again and see if I can get any results.

    Protein Ideas?

I LOVE the premier chocolate shakes, they remind me of chocolate milk! They dont have a nasty after taste or smell.

    Protein Ideas?

How about eggs and fish? You can get crystal light, SF syrups, SF pudding, and add those to protein shakes and greek yogurt for some different flavors.

    Sooo Frustrated!

Well Im 7 months out, and this whole month I have lost maybe 2-3 pounds but I keep on losing the three it and gaining it back, I have no idea whats going on! I have had my slip-ups with eating, but for the most part I eat good. I still struggle to get in all the water I need to, Im not sure if that has something to do with it or not? I havent been tracking my food intake religiously, but from now on I will be. My calorie goals will be 700 calories a day, as low carb as I can be, and at least 80 grams of protein a day. I know when you get further out you lose slower, but no way I should be losing this slow, I still have about 80 something pounds I need to lose. I just hope that this week I will see a loss after tracking everything.

    Sooo Frustrated!

Thanks, I know I have, I would have never dreamed of losing 100 pounds before and I am proud of myself. It gets to me sometimes when I see people that have had surgery around the time that I did, or started out weighing less then me losing weight so much faster then me! I always told myself pre-op I would not compare myself to others, but days I get down on myself I do. I was very good on my water intake yesturday and weighed today and was down a pound, not sure if that has something to do with it or not, there are days I am really bad with my fluid intake. Thanks for the nice comments everyone, no one I know in RL has surgery and sometimes they dont understand what we go threw so I am very happy to have this site and the support, it means so much to me

    Sooo Frustrated!

I am very bad at exerciseing! Thats one thing I need to make a everyday thing, I will do it a few times, then go weeks without doing any (I know, horrible). I kinda figured once I lost a good amount I would want to and enjoy it, I think Im going to check out a few gyms, I have been thinking about the community center near my house, I hear they have a decent gym, plus I would be walking there which would be a plus lol. Thanks for the comment though, I just felt so overwhelmed today, we just need to take it one day at a time.

Help! Will I Be Able To....

I went to a concert the week after I had surgery, but it was indoors at a club, I made sure I took my pain medicine before I left and brought Protein packs for Water incase I wanted some, I just ended up drinking a lot of water (I wasnt there for the whole show, I only wanted to see one preformer and he did about a hour and a half set). I guess you will just have to wait and see how you feel, I would be very careful since it will be so hot out because it is very important that soon out to have a lot of fluids so you dont get dehydrated.
