It will happen for you. I went to a seminar in March and my surgery will be in November. I'm just grateful that my insurance started covering the sleeve in July. I really didn't want to go with one of the other options and I don't think my husband would have been too supportive if I'd gone with RNY. -

I've tried the chocolate peanut butter and just ordered a new bottle. I like it. The Syntha-6 that I've tried have not been strong flavors and the peanut butter is pretty mild. I usually added a little peanut butter to kick it up a notch and add some extra Protein.

I haven't had the surgery yet, but when I told my neurologist that I was planning to have surgery, he was very supportive and thought that I would have fewer migraines. Can't wait to be on the other side and test that theory out. -
Not looking forward to the drain, but if that is the worst I have to put up with, I guess it isn't too bad. :biggrin0: I've gone to the last few support group meetings and that has been really helpful. Surprisingly, there have been quite a few sleeve patients there. Just very nervous and excited. Hope the next two months go quickly!

That must be the test I took. The questions were mostly all out there. Waste of time and $85. -
How long were you in the hospital? I really liked Dr. Washington when I heard him talk at the seminar, but it is good to hear from someone who actually had him for surgery. I have my consult with him in about a month. Looks like you're doing great from your stats!

I'm doing mine here in NJ with Dr. Washington. The time is passing quicker than I thought, but it does still seem like a long way off. I can't believe September is almost over and it's less than 2 months away!!!!

It all depends on your doctor. The main reason for the liquid diet is to shrink your liver a bit so that it is not in the way when they do the surgery. Everyone's doctor seems to have different guidelines for liquid diets -- different foods allowed & different lengths of time. -

BSN Syntha-6 makes a good chocolate peanut butter. I've ordered it from Amazon. -
