I hate it when people post just to post.....

Is this the passive aggressive shit Lauren was talking about  You guys crack my ass in half. -
Well I got my brand spaking new size 14 suit. Damn did it feel good to be shopping at New York and Company. My new favorite store. No more Lane Giant for new nice clothes. I will get some pics tomorrow for sure because even if I don't get the job I am going to look damn cute doing it. Did I mention we are supposed to get 10 inches of snow tonight?

Welcome Turler!!!! Any friend of J's is a friend of mine.

And to really answer your question, I only lose weight if I am working out, when I stop working out I only maintain weight. If I pig out and don't work out I gain. If I pig out and workout I maintain. You have to find out what works for your body.

I really think exercise is key, and you will see great results if you are not doing it right now. I notice I drop weight more consistantly when I exercise than when I don't. I usually change up my diet somehow. I will do Atkins for a few weeks and drop 10 pounds, or I will count my calories and drop some weight. Most recently I have been on a vegetarian kick (almost vegan) and I have lost 16 pounds since the end of December. Mind you I have lost this eating anything I want that does not have meat in it. I actually feel a lot better than I have in a long time. I know it goes against the protien first concept but it is working out fine for me.

I feel you on the daily weighing. Mine has gone down dramatically in the last month. Like 16 pounds. And I always use my lowest weight whether I think it is a farce or not. I want to reach 90 pounds lost by my bandiversary next Wednesday and I only have 2 to go.

I guess not. And congrats on losing another pound J!

My favorite Peyton commercial is the one where he is at the butcher chanting "Chop that meat" And the coffeehouse one lol -
You forgot sausage wallet......

You have to do the work for it. It is only a tool not a miracle. Think of it as a hammer. If the hammer is just lying there with no one using it it would be useless. If someone picks it up and starts hammering away the work is getting done. The 88 pounds I have lost I have worked my ass off for. Yes the band absolutely helps with the eating, especially when I want to really pig out on something, but I am still the one making the choices as to what I put in my mouth. I am the one exerising daily. The band is only there to back me up.

I think ultimately I will be a 5K girl if I stick to running. I like to be one with myself while sitting on a bike, not running. The shorter distance running the better lol. I havea really good training plan but I might have to pick up the book for a good laugh.

Hey no problem. I just want to share the awesome info with everyone else. I just hope that more insurances start following suit and the surgical option becomes more readily avalailable for those who need it.

I am so close to another decade and I wanna be there like now. -
Dang girl I am glad you are safe. That crazy shit hit us last night. Went from high forties to about 9 degrees this morning with a wind chill of -10. The wind blew so hard it snapped the 4x4s right in half on 4 panels of my privacy fence.

This is brand new this year. A BMI over 50 you do not need medical documentation. A BMI below that and you need 6 months. It should be standard for all BCBS unless you have a specification in your policy that states it does not cover or it covers with no restrictions.

I run on the track at the Y. I am trying to stay away from treadmills because I want to do real running. I use my headphones which helps. I think I just get so bored that I want to stop. Just training for the running and the biking for the muddy buddy.
-
My plateaus are generally broken by changing something up, either diet or exercise.
-
The point it that I need to workout and running is the best thing I can do for myself right now. I said I was going to do this half marathon in April and dammit I am going to do it. Plus I want to be ready for the Muddy Buddy. I will probably not do the marathon in October but we shall see. I just feel like I need to be doing something and maybe if I keep doing it I will start to like it.

My first thought was progress pictures to be honest with you. At 100 pounds lost I am geting a mani/pedi. At goal I am getting a tatoo. It is going to be small and on my foot. I am not sure exactly when it will be yet but I want something that pays tribute to the changes in my life.
-
I will probably get my consult done some time over the summer. I am sure I will be to goal by then since I will be outside riding as soon as it is warm enough. I had a breakdown last night because I hate running. I can not stand it. I keep doing it trying to make myself like it but I don't. What else can I say? I am biker. It is in my blood. I am going stir crazy inside the house.

My insurance will cover the panni easily. I already have the documentation of rashing and haning skin, etc. My plan is to have it done the beginning of November and using my short term disability to take off work until the first of the year. That way I only have to use about 10 of my vacation days to get like 8 weeks off work.
-
I do, on February 6th. =) I am certainly proud of my progress. It may not be where I wanted it to be but I have done damn well this past year. We all have done damn well. And now since I have pushed my plastic surgery date back to Novemberish it really does not matter in the grand scheme of thing when I do actually reach goal. I know I can lose it by November without really trying too hard.
