I am definitely excited for the Muddy Buddy. We will get lots of pictures. I got my running in yesterday. It was interval day so I had to do 6x400 meters each right around 2:50 with 200 meters of walking in between each. So basically run a lap, walk a 1/2 lap. I was more difficult than it seemed. My 8 year old future step niece was there doing the whole thing with me. Barefoot. lol I wish I only had to haul 50 pounds around. Anyhow I was tired and felt like crap but I did it. I will let you guys know how night riding goes since you were just talking about it. I got myself a nice headlight and an illuminite vest and will be riding in to work at 3 am on Monday. After going through $40 in gas yesterday I just can't jusitfy driving to work any longer. Okay and as to end of my crappy week. On Monday my cousin passed away. He was only 21. We are not positive what exactly happened, though it was probably drug related. He had been in rehab and seemed like he was doing better. The whole thing just sucks. My family is very, very close and very, very large. My other cousin (his sister) and I are good friends. My heart has just been breaking for her and her parents. So the whole family has been together all week. It has been wonderful to see my family but I hate the circumstances. So it has been a very long sleep deprived and emotional week for me. All I can say is please keep my family in your prayers and make sure your hugs your children extra tight and tell them daily how much you love them.

LT (hope you don't mind I call you that but we like to shorten things up around here). I believe all of us regulars have road bikes from the LBS (local bike store). I started out on a mountain bike and once I got my road bike it was a dream come true. What you will have now will certainly suffice. My recomendation is to just keep riding it and if you find that you truely lonve to ride, then go drop some more serious cash on a road bike. Low end bikes start at around $600. Oh and the butt does get better.

To all enabling "friends", If your friend has just gotten out of rehab, maybe you should get the picture that he is trying to better his life. Maybe you should stay away. I mean, come on, if you were a real friend you would. You would want the best for your buddy, wouldn't you? But no, instead you hang out and give him the one thing he has been trying to get away from. You help in destroying this person's life. This wonderful spirit that had so much potential bottled up inside. You helped to take away someone's son. Someone's brother. Someone's nephew. Someone's cousin. Now the rest of the world will never see what this person might have done. Yes everyone makes their own choices and obviously his were poor. But a true friend would never put someone in that situation. A true friend would never chance that. A true friend would have told him to get the fuck out of there as fast and far as he could. He may have done the deed, but you stand there holding the smoking gun. My heart is hurting for my family right now more than you could ever imagine. And I have to forgive you. Because that is the only way I can ever get past this. It will be hard, but I can do it. But I will never, ever forget. I don't even know you. I have never even met you. But you will always be in the back of my mind. I just hope that just maybe this is a wake up call to you. Because then at least one senseless death can stand for something. Thanks D. That made me smile to read that. I have had a rough day. Really bad emotionally wise. And the worst that came of it was chicken tenders for lunch and a half bucket of popcorn at the movies. It could have been much, much worse.
