Thrush? Wow. I got my first fill today. I am at 28 days. It wasn't super painful but it was definitly not a comfortable thing. More pressure than anything else. He put in .75cc. I ma a little freaked out as to how this is going to affect my eating, and I know I ma going to be scared to take that first bite once I ma back off liquids again.

I was so pumped up to go walking outside today. And then the weather said wind chills in the low teens. *Sigh* Maybe tomorrow or next week. It is March for goodness sake. Give me a 40 degrees and I will run with it. lol

Seriously look at part of your statement above. You say it is not just the boys yet the very next thing you say is that you are getting hit on alot more. All of your post involove revolve being happy by such superficial things. It is what is inside that counts and all you are worried about is apperances. I might be fat, I may not not get hit on alot, and I may be unable to afford to carry around a prada purse but I would put anything on the line to bet that I am way happier with my life than you are with yours. You need to be happy with you first and from reading your posts it is obvious that inside you really aren't.

No not quite tht early lol. I have to work at 6am on Fridays so I got up at about 4:15 and hopped on the treadmill. I am usually on 35-40 minutes since I am somewhere between 3-3.5mph. I am only 26 so yeah I am a little on the younger side :biggrin1: I have been big most of my life and I knew that I would remain that way unless I did something drastic. So I went and got a lapband! I just did not want to wake up obese at 46 and wish I had taken care of the problem at 26. I want to set a good example for my kids and I don't want them to have to deal with the issues of kids teasing them because of how their Mom looks. Tami I love my Ipod. I will definitly use it once I hit the sidewalks. Right now though I am using the tv as my distraction. I have been tivoing shows and watching them like crazy since I really don't have any other time in the day to watch tv. In fact I don't think I have been away from the tv as much as I have in this last month. Well we got the treadmill on Feb 20 and I have used it every day except for the two that we had lost power. Plus I have been taking the path of greatest resistance in my everyday life. Parking at the far corner in the top of the parking structure and using the stairs instead of elevators and such. I am definitly trying that is for sure. And thanks for all the great suggestions and you motivating words. I really do appreciate it.

I have some of the vanilla Isopure which I bought sicne it was on sale. It is pretty gross alone but I have been mixing in a scoop of Secure meal replacement (from HSN) in the coffee flavor which is delicious. It masks the protien taste in the isopure and adds a little more protien to it.

I don't even own a scale anymore because I was so obsessive over it in the past. Now I only wiegh once a week on the huge scale down at the receiving dock at work. Even though I have an appointment Monday I will still wiegh myself to keep track of my wieght on the same scale.

I just did some walking on the high incline and oh boy was that a workout. I only did it like the last three minutes of my walking and it was tough. Definitly something I will have to build up to.

LOL. So funny you should mention that. I hate video games since my hubby is constantly playing them. But I told him he should get a Wii so I can work out! This was back when they first came out. -
Yeah the 5 am is not bad once you get used to it. I have to be out of the door by 7:10 and I have two little kids to get ready and drop off at school and daycare and I have to get to work by 8! I get a lot of things set up the night before (lunches packed, clothes set out, that kind of thing). I will have to give the weights thing a try. Right now I only walk at like a 3.2 and jog at 4.0 until I go two miles which for me is not too bad considering my weight.

Jackal I know if I don't do it in the morning I will find every excuse in the book to not do it in the pm. I definitly plan to walk outside once the weather is better but now there is an ice storm outside. Ideally I want to start to enjoy this treadmill thing so I can get that workout in the morning and then when the weather gets better either walk outside or treadmill in the am and then take my kids for a walk or bike ride in the pm. I also walk on my lunch break at work which is much more enjoyable because I have someone to walk with. I did get my workout done this morning and it was not as bad as yesterday. I think I need to try and tivo some shows and then watch them whie I am walking. Maybe that will help pass the time. I have found that the days I jog it passes the time a bit quicker as I jog 60 seconds and walk 90. The 90 seconds seems a lot shorter when I know I have to follow it with jogging lol.

Hey guys we have made it though the month!!!! I figured we could use a fresh thread to talk about our one month bandiversaries sicne the other one was 60+ pages! How is everyone doing on this fine March 1? I need to stop procrastinating and get on the treadmill right now! *runs to treadmill*

I am trying to say it now but here I am 5 am on the computer. "I feel great when I am done. It gives me a lot of energy" "I feel great when I am done. It gives me a lot of energy" "I feel great when I am done. It gives me a lot of energy" Okay time to go jog. Today is a jogging day maybe that is why i am dragging a$$.

I would love to join a gym or have a trainer but at the moment it is just not feasible. Our budget is very tight pretty much down to pennies. Maybe in a year or two that could be an option but just not right now. The treadmill was a huge splurge and was gotten because I need to have some sort of exercise. I don't like the videos so that is out lol. I do hope when it is nicer out I can go outside. I will say I do enjoy walking outside more than on the darn treadmill but with the blistering cold/snow/ice thats not working so well. I guess I was just hoping someone would say that one day I would just wake up and enjoy it lol.

Puddin you are such an inspiration. It is so awesome to see someone out there who has been where I am now doing the things that I have always wanted to do. It really makes me think I can get there some day.

Marissa I find that working out before I go to work is so helpful in making me get it done. I know I will be too tired once I get home but if I do it right away then I get it out of the way and it actually gives me a lot of energy for the day.

Yeah me too. I have been so busy. I really need to get a fill because I am just not getting filled up with the food I am eating. Oh and can you believe that there are some people in my suport group who still use Optifast after surgery as a protien drink. Ewww. lol

Yes, me!!!! I need to stop doing it too because once I get a fill that is so going to cause some issues.

With my Doctor it could have been a one month thing. I saw him on Dec18 and I could have been in surgery on Jan 23. I chose to wait until the 6th of Feb due to a vacation planned in Jan. I had to see a psychologist and get an upper GI done. Also my insurance required I be on a one year medically supervised diet. My insurance was a bit lient with that as I had seen my Dr. 5 times that year more to discuss wieght loss and follow up on my progress but it was enough to be covered. Granted I did not have much that needed to be done but I am also only 26 so other than the obesity I am in pretty good health. You may have different things you need to get done.
