who supports right to choose

In how many years did he perform those 75,000 abortions? Let's say it was over a 10 year period. Then he performed approximatly 7,500 per year. So then lets say there only 14 other doctors in the WHOLE COUNTRY that perfrom abortions at that same rate. Then you have your 100,000 per year number. Even if it were over a 20 year period then that is saying that there were only 28 other doctors performing abortions at the rate this man was to equal out the 100,000 number he is claiming. Even if this man was the leader in the abortion tallying I find it hard to believe with his doing 75,000 over any period of time of them that there were only 100,000 per year. The numbers just do not add up for me. -

Curious... what is reason for supervised diet before banding?
babygrl1234 replied to edieparks's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
It is not an insurance thing (unless it is a 6 or 12 month diet) it is a doctor thing. The 2 week diet before surgery is intended to shrink your liver and make it easier to move around inside there while banding. Some doctors do it, other don't, that is why the diets vary in length and type. It is just personal preference for your doctor. -
That where mine is too Chickie. The only time I have had port trouble was maybe the first week or so after when I tensed up during the big O (yeah I have just been waiting to say that all day lol). That was a bit painful. As for the sex part, nope nothing during sex. And with this weight loss I have been getting a lot of practice lately.

Oh and Onederland.....man that is a huge dream for me. I haven't been there since before my kids. The day I hit 199 is the day I throw a huge party. I will probably party myself right back up to 201 lol.

Aww Zannie you are too sweet girl. The 4 miles certainly did not happen overnight. I have always been realtively "fit" for a fat girl but I had to build up to it over time. I started walking right after my sugery and I was doing about 1.5-2 miles daily. Then I built it up to 3 and just this past week tried the 4. I am lucky that I have an awesome boss who does not care what I do just as long as I get my work done. In fact she is the one who showed me the walking route at work. I have a walking buddy and we always do 3 miles on our lunch break (weather permitting of course). We can get that done in under an hour. The 4 mile walk I do when she is not there since it takes over an hour and her boss is not as lax about breaks as mine. It is nice for me to just get away from my desk and get some fresh air. Here is the couch to 5K link. Cool Running :: The Couch-to-5K Running Plan I think the thing that keeps me motivated on that is that while I am running sometimes I just want to quit but then I think that if i do I have to do the day/week all over again and I don't want to do that! I am thinking maybe next month we can do a partner challenge. Like find some other people and team up and compete. Maybe other people will participate in the challenge and want to do more because not only will they be accountable to themselves but they will be accountable to their teammates.

I have actually been using this tracker thing I found on a the USA track and Field website. You zoom in on the area where you are riding/running and then use the guide to drap a map and it measures the distance for you. USATF - America's Running Routes - Map It I love it.

Wallygirl, you can go to Graphical Event Ticker for your Signature, Message Boards, Blogs and Web Page and fill out the info to make your ticker (the thing that shows the weight in my siggy) once you do that it will post a code that you copy and paste into your signature. As for the challenge info just copy and paste it in your own signature and update it as you do the workouts.

Being Fat Is Almost Harder Than Losing Weight!!
babygrl1234 replied to Krystal's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
It is not harder than losing weight. Most humans in gereral are not going to take the harder path in life unless they have a good reason to. If being fat was harder than losing weight I would not be fat. Now being fat does suck. The effort that we have to put into losing weight sucks too. I would believe the statement that being fat sucks as much as losing weight sucks. To me that makes more sense, seeing as they both suck and the easier thing to do is just stay fat. My doctor and I had a heart to heart at the begining of May. I was complaining about how much I *hate* exercising. He looked at me and said "which do you hate more, exercising or being fat?" The simplest question in the world to answer. I hate being fat. SO you know what? I exercised 29 days last month. I lost 11 pounds. It is not about accepting our fatness, it is about doing what is right and doing what is easy. *I* am done doing what is easy. -

In oder to get an abortion in Michigan it is manadatory that you view a video/ slideshow about fetus developement to make sure you know the details of where you fetus is at developmentally. That information may change some minds but there are still a large number of people going through with it. -
Haha I know Cest la vie.

ARGH....Can I please just have one thread that does not involve illegals?

Maybe a better question would be why do mother-child murders in Texas get the most press and are the most memorable? Personally I try to not think about this kind of stuff because it horrifies me. I remember the Andrea Yates thing and that one chick who drove her kids into the lake (Susan something?) but I am pretty sure she was from another state. Mental or not I do not feel one bit of sorrow for these woman. There are woman every day who battle through mental illness and they don't kill their own children.

Dry fill? Really? Damn and this whole time I thought she was filling herself with the EVOO.

Ohh thanks Lizrbit. I might have to do that if this pain does not stop. SO my first ride I did I made it about 1.5 miles and I thought I was going to die. Second time I did maybe 2.5 miles. The third time I did 7 miles but it was split up into a 3 mile ride, 30 minute rest, 2.3 miles, 15 minute rest, 2.3 miles. The 4th time was 6 miles straight. How long do you all think before I can make the 12 miles?
