Accountability Thread for Feb 07 Bandsters
babygrl1234 replied to travelgirl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Well since everyone else is doing it...I ate some cookie dough. It is a holiday folks. We must enjoy and get back on the wagon tomorrow. -
Welcome Carole!!!! We were beginning to think we smelled or something since no one wanted to join us lol. As for the muscle thing when I first started working out I did not lose anything for about 3 weeks. Then the following week i dropped 4 pounds.
-
Okay really did anyone notice in my first post for both level 2 and 3 I have 20 days listed. I am a bone head lol.

Okay guys we only have like 4 of us doing the July challenge. I know there are way more of than 4 bandsters for Feb 07 so I am going to post some details here. Zannie had a great idea to expand to our challenge even more to include categories that anyone can do. Here is part of her idea to help get us all moving. (The following is all in the words of ZANNIE) But I just wondering why more Feb'07 Bandster are not joining us in the exercise challenges. Surely it isn't our company!! So what might it be...? I've read a lot of posts from further-along-than-us Bandsters who say they really didn't start exercising until about 6-months post-op... Maybe that is it. Or not, who knows! But perhaps we/you (ehem) ought to post the challenge details on the main Feb page, as a sort of "see, it's not so bad"... And I really enjoy the individual levels, personalizing them even further this month was a good idea!! But maybe we/you (ehem, again) could expand the levels further... If you're not terribly offended already, I suggest the following modification: Intensity Level Beginner/Moderate/Intermediate/Advanced/Athletic 20 min ... 30 min ..... 45 min ..... 60 min ... +60min After all, if I have to push myself further, then so will YOU eventually -- and, more importantly, there are some people who have not yet begun this part of our journey. My road is longer than yours & I've got to step it up to reach the finish line, but it does take time to build endurance. The only difference between me & a slug when I got banded was that all day long I chased after 2 kids under 5! And now I'm actually working out half of the month -- thanks to your exercise challenges! Anyhow -- with just the 4 of us in this challenge (so far) and it only being 4 days in to the month... What do you think about making some changes? And then one of us telling the Feb'07 bunch about the challenge details to spur the rest of our group on? Sort of a reminder that it's not to late to join up for July! It doesn't really affect you, me, TravelGirl or SkinnyJeans at all beyond modifying some labels (except if you want to declare a new intensity level ), and maybe it would pull some newbies into our fold? Or at least get them thinking ahead to next month... Our 6-month Band anniversaries are in AUGUST!! (End of Zannie's message) I think she has a great idea and I hope some others will join up with us! Here is the exercise thread! http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f89/feb-bandsters-july-challenge-37331/

I am so jealous. I wanted to work today for the double time and a half but my boss would not let me. But of course she worked so she could get the extra pay.
-
Well good luck to you. If I lived near ya I would be there in a heartbeat.
-
Hey Faith I really could cook you that meal seeing as you live right near me lol.

I am sure my thin friends wonder how it is possible that I let myself get up to 278 pounds. We should know better than others how easy it is to let our eating get out of control. Just because we can walk to a door to get a food delivery doesn't mean that we are any better than those who can't. And once a person become bed ridden they are getting virtually no exercise at all so even if they are only eating a little bit (which usually they are not) they still are not burning the calories by just getting up and walking around. I would like to think that I would never get to that point but without m band who really knows when it would have stopped.
-
Maybe when it storms later a tornado can pick me up and drop me off in Kansas. How can anyone not cancel all plans for REO?
-
I really hope we can get some more takers on the July exercise challenge.
-
I did get my exercise in today already. I did a 4 mile walk and I ran about 1/2 mile of it. Running outside is way harder than the treadmill. I can do like 1.5 miles on the treadmill but put me outside and I just about die just doing the half. But hey it can only get better right?

Accountability Thread for Feb 07 Bandsters
babygrl1234 replied to travelgirl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Yeah I need to be accountable for that also. I had a slim fast protein bar for breakfast and a bite of the parm noodles. Now for lunch I am back on the grilled chicken though it is not going down nearly as well as it did last night. -
Where do you live? I am hopping on a plane right now!!! I still have no one to go with me next week.
-
You could totally mix that with some Malibu rum for a fun and protein filled party drink right? Seriously I bet it would be good with some sugar free coconut syrup.
-
Okay yesterday I blended my Chocolate Matrix with milk, ice, some sugar free coconut syrup and a spoonful of splenda. De-friggin-licious.
-
Speaking of crap I am so glad to be having oops I crapped my6 pants moments instead of damn I wish I could crap moments. Fiber is so underrated.
-
Ugh. My eating is about to cause me to have an "oops I crapped my pants" moment.
-
Faith I will cook you a meal =)
-
Why can't I stop eating when I am full? Thin people can push a plate away with only a few bites gone if they feel full so why the hell can't I do it. Why do I find it necessary to finish the whole damn thing? Eating the whole damn thing got me here in the first place. And why can't I eat cake? I know it is bad for me but dammit sometimes I just want a bite without spitting it up like a damn infant 5 minutes later.
-
Okay I got in my exercise. 1 hour on the treadmill. And I am starting the official bitching thread so as not to put any downers in here.

Matrix 5.0. It is the only shake I can tolerate. The chocolate and the cookies and cream are pretty good.
