    Has anyone taken up Bycyling?

    D I weigh in tomorrow too. I am scared. Only because this restriction sucks so much ass that if I did not lose weight I will probably cry. I just looked at the leftover pizza in the fridge thinking damn that wold probably taste really good. I considered carving it into the shape of a bike and then licking it. I also bought some chocolate milk last night for DH that I refuse to take a taste of until after I weigh in. This is the good stuff people, straight from the dairy and such chocolatly creamy goodness that you can not drink more that a few sips without being ill. So yesterday i had to help out at the information seminar for my surgeon last night. The coordinator thought she would be funny and blow up my before picture (the one with the good awful sweats and headband on day of surgery and put it right next to me at the sign in table. Dr. Bacal came in and looked at it and said "oh look at how nerdy you looked" That was pretty much the face I gave him lol. But I looked super hot last night lol. Anyhow I had a fun time. And I ran about 3.5 miles after I got out of work yesterday. I can not believe that I can run. I was not going to say anything but what the hell I want to be held accountable for it. I have officially started training for the Detroit Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot. It is a 10K race. I obviously do not plan on winning but I plan on finishing. If for some reason I can't get up to doing the 6.2 miles then there is a 5K (called the Stuffing Strut lol) that I can do instead. But I really want to this. I have wanted to for a long time.

    Well D let me go over my meals today. Breakfast 8am - 1/4 of a very very toasted bagel. Kinda painful Lunch 12:30pm- Sugar free pudding (1/2 c) with unflavored unjury mixed in Dinner 4:45 pm- less than 1/2 c cottage cheese Snack8:30pm- Chocolate unjury shake made with milk mixed with some peanut butter Life sucks. Not really but I do think the fill was a little too much. I am at 3.0cc and probably could go to about 2.9cc. 2.75 I could eat anything. I ma going to see if I will be okay and if the fill will loosen but Idon't think I can live like this. But on the upside even thoguh I want to eat the pizza I came home to I know I can so i did not even try to touch it.

    Jusme, Honestly I really believe a bypass is easier. At first. But then once the maintaining part starts a few years out it becomes more difficult. Especially if you don't exercise or eat right. At least with the band we have the option of adjustments. Those people that are complaining about the band not doing all the work would probably lose a lot with a bypass. And then they would be the ones who would gain it all back because they have not changed their habits. I heart my band.

    HP...Noooooooooo but my plan is to do so this weekend. I have been super duper busy and it has not let up yet. The kid has dance tonight plus I have to help out at the monthly bariatric seminar (oh the joys of working for your doctor) actually I don't really mind that much lol. Tomorrow I have to help with the book fair for PTA at school. Why I give myself so much to do I will never know. I heart tequila.

    That's cool Frank. I am jealous of all people with bikes. D I wish I was wolfing down something. This restriction is a bitch. I ate about 1/3 of a burger for dinner. No bun. Whatever JC you never bite your tongue. HP I will buy you a bike when i win the lottery. ~~~BG the Bike Licker~~~

    J I started at about 255. Just like D I did the Couch to 5K. I could barely do the workouts when I started. I did most of the program on a 4mph pace. Very slow. I probably got to the second to last week before I stopped running. I got bored with it and that is when I started big with the biking. Lately I just wanted to do the running again because of the plateau. I can not believe how easy it was last night. After 2 miles I felt pretty much exactly the same as I did 2 minutes into the run. The only reason I did not go farther is because I was back at my house and it was dark outside. It is amazing the difference a few pounds and building a good cardio base (biking) will do for the running part. J you will be amazed at running when you hit 200. JC if I was as big of a slacker as you I would probably be at goal by now.
