Thanks for reposting this article. I am going thru this right now and was told to take biotin and buy a expense shampoo and to increase my protien will they check blood results.
-
As a strive to my goals and fill myself with joy, I now have to fight to maintain my hair. Spoke to doctr and he is doing blood test to rule out vitamin problens or not enough protien intake. So until I get some answers I am taking Biotin 5000mg, I bought a hair dressing cream called Shea Moisture and Garne Fall flight which they all contain Biotin. I don't know how long I can take the amount of hair. My next step will be to buy some wigs. I will see how this goes.

My first meal was ground turkey with burilla pasta I measure it in a 1/2 cup the turkey had protien and so did the pasta which was a good in take. good luck Remember protien first at all times.

Has Surgery Changed Anyone's Marriage? Good Or Bad
Lilu replied to 303Gal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
In my opinion a relationship ship built on anything other than love, understanding and the most important thing communication are doom to fail. If you ca call your mate a friend you will be okay. I hae children and the weight lost has hange my marriage in a way that has made my hubby and I happier. Bause we have kids we can't get the amount of alone time that we wish but he trys t do little get aways and we still try out new resturants. Eventhough this is TMI the best thing I am enjoying is my husband. I was the ft one in the relationship and sex ws a big issue, but not anymore. I am looking forward to the changes in our marriage I am truly blessed he is a soulmate. So look at the positive things that can happen. You enjoy the energy your going to gain and pray that your hubby can keep up.LOL Good luck -
try not to see this stall as if there is something wrong. and don't compare yourself to everyone else either. You will reach your goal as long as you follow your plan. I stall at 2 1/2 months and it was for a week. and then I started losing weight again. During the stall I was losing inches from my waist. I use the Wii system it is fun to work with even at my age the Wii scale tracks your weight lost and tells you the average weight lost should be 3 pound a week. Listen you did not get heavy overnight so you should understand that you are not going to lose it over night. Get your focus back and follow your plan and eat you portions correctly and exercise. My doctor told me that he wants me not worry if I am not losing weight every week because I should reach my goal in a year. Also when walking he wants me to go up hills and walk at least 30 mins. a day five days a week. Good luck hope you have much success in this journey.

Well I am about four months out and have always had a high sexual want and my hubby was not like me. But once we started having sex again he seems to want me all the time. This was my biggest complaint and we would fight because I thought that he did not love me. But I now can do the thing I did as a teenager with out the pain of the weight . I also notice I feel him alot more. This is one of the best things of weight lost, the ability to put your legs around your man or for him to do positions you see on tv is the greats. Fifty shades of grey has nothing on me. I told hubby we need to make our own porn and he laugh and said what ever you want but I don't want to share you. We are going to our second honeymoon for my one year goal. Good luck all glad to hear I am not the only having this experience

Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension Anyone?
Lilu replied to carolc's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't think I have this but I have a narrowing in the artery in my brain (LICS) and I am hoping that weight lost and liptor will open it up. What is the neuro. doctor saying. -
Yesterday I had an MRI and was amazed that I was able to fit in the machine with out my sides rubbing on the sides of the bed. I was laying very comfortable. But I need to call the office because I am now starting to lose my hair. I am glad that it is thick but the clumps keep clogging my tub. All I can do now is just laugh about my saying. Well beauty is painful.

Thank guys I call the doctor and he wants me to do some blood test he thinks I need more vitamins. But I am glad that it stops soon. I been going thru this for a month now. I didn't think I was going to have it because I am three months out. Milestone and sadness are the hardest happiness to deal with.

I have found then in my dollar store but rare too find. I just make my own with crystal light and other stuff.

I had alot of pain 2 weeks out and I finally started walking more after three weeks. About two month later i was walking miles. The doctor told me he want me to increase my walking to a min of 30 mins. a day for five days and do some incline walking too. Increase your walking at your pace everyone is different and there is no set rule for you. Make sure you drink plenty of fuilds and eat your protein first. Follow your doctors plan and you will do okay.

Periods After Surgery?
Lilu replied to melissamae99's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Use additional birth control. When you lose weight you tend to get your period again if you have not had it. And the blood thinner that they give you will bring it down and sometimes very heavy. The protein first really helps with alot of issue you many experience. Since surgery I am eating correctly and many things correct itself. Good luck keep your head up -
I have stalled and things are going down hill. I am stressed no job, no income and no aide. I am not eating correctly anymore because the children eat first. This is becoming a cosmic joke now. I was hoping that losing weight would finally give me my life back, boy I was wrong. I am not not ashame to tell all that I am failing in life and weight lost too.

I stalled two month out and Ok with it I am losing inches now. But losing a battle to have enough calories and protein. Hitting poverty hard.

Question For The Mommies
Lilu replied to JenniJune's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I continue to cook for my family as if nothing is changing. This is the true test for the life style change. You need to be able to make choices and feel good about it. I am now 3 month out and the first month the family ate meals that I had prepared and packed for them. But now I clean and cook like if nothing has change. And make the correct choices for me. -
Yes your thought of being full of gas is correct try taking a gasx to help. I would sip my water out of a once out cut and refill it every 15 mins to ensure I would drink. And I would continue it till about the third week . I aslo put a time for every hour so that I would not for get to drink water and eat. This takes time it is giong to be hard but be at peace that things will get better.

Realistic Thoughts To Deal Gastric Surgery
Lilu posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I wish I could read about the truth about having gastric surgery. When you decide to do this there are alot of thoughts about How fast am I going to lose the weight? OMG I think I messed up! Or you have food funnerals. This is not a quick fixes it is a life time commitment. You must truly be ready to change your life if you want to achieve the desire out come. I had to wait a year an six months till I could get the surgery. I found out that at my old wait I was not the healthiest person in the world. I was sadden about news, I cried alot and was fearing about going to the doctor. At my height and weight I was feeling alone. I had family there but that was no confort for me. I was looking for a buddy to go thru this with. When I was post-op some of the advice was just to successful at times. Truthfully I had a hard time after I had my surgery. I could not sleep in my bed at home. I slept in a chair. I could not drink anything or eat anythings for two days after i left hospital. I also caught an infection and return back to hospital. Now I am two month plus out, and I now hit a stall but I am not worried about that because this is going to be a slow and steady process and when the weight is not coming off the size is getting smaller. I am reaching many mile stones and I am proud of it. So lets stop depending on everyone else because it is you job to make the correct changes in your life. This is a tool not a miracle. So if you have a food addiction get it treated first because you are setting your self up for failure. -
Don't think of it as a stall it is your body catching up with your brain.
-
I want to say that I have not hit a stall and I am working on my second month post-op. I complete change my life to help me with this issue. I bought some measuring cup and spoon the fold and I carry then with me. I eat at the resturant and I ask for a empty plate and measure my food. I also make a menu to keep me on track. I also walk alot every day. I am waiting for the doctor to ok the gym for more exercise. If you hit a still then change up your routine. Try eating less and eat your Protein first. When you walk try going up and some steps, like a three step stoop. The change will help. Remember you body needs a change. Good Luck and hope you back the stall

Lilu replied to Nikki613's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My story is I need emergency surgery to remove a from my stomach. Because after surgery did not do so well. I was okay about what I did. Only my household know and my mom. I now tell people I am change my life and doing some for my self to eat healthier. -

But I always has the problem that my belly is big and I am consider an apple shape. I am worry because the button of my belly is hanging like saddle bags what can be done now to reduced that the skin continuing to hang. I do exercise in my bed and also in a chair for now. And increasing my standing exercise but need idea for the hanging belly.
