Hi Meena, My band didnt work for me. I had it since march 2011.lost only 13lbs in the first 15 days.Now I got the sleeve done on 24th jan 2014.the band was removed at the same time.It went off well. I am recovering fast.Dont worry you will be fine.

it sure is depressing when you dont loose.I lost 13 lbs in the first 2 weeks. earlier with lap band i had lost 13 lbs. Now i do hope it continues!! all the best to you Teachamy!! -
my doc said We loose max weight in the first month,less in second and third there is a stall. have you all experienced this?

dont think of food....your stomach is healing .so take it easy for atleast a month.I am on liquids for 15days. then semi,then mussies.slow is better.

I travelled for my doc's appointment on the 12 th day. (5+5) 10 hrs travelling on same day. I can see some swelling on my stomach.and slight pain. Doc said take combiflam liquid and take rest.

yes it was laproscopic. but there were stitches.I also had a drain. total 5.6 cuts -
hi. I am also band to sleeve..no problems so far...only a little swelling on stomach...I travelled for my followup..on the 12th day...other wise i am ok..thank God.

I am 10 days post op..i feel like having tea...but cant....I wonder why no tea. -
is it necessary to lie down and rest during the day? is sitting for long periods bad? I am 12 days post op.

my energy levels are good. I do feel weak sometimes. But I want to know if we should lie down for stomach to heal.is sitting for long putting pressure?I started office for 1 hr from day 7. Its not strenuous...mainly for signs.and decisions as I am in charge of a school.

thanks a lot. going to the doc for my follow up. have lost 11lbs in 10 days...I can see the difference. -
today is my 10th day.... I do feel weak off and on...how much Fluid have you all had. I am having 3.5 lts approx. I had met a girl who said she was having 5 lts...he lost 30 kg in 3 months....she was not very obese. how can I increase my liquid intake. I have coconut Water,dal water, thin Soups through out the day. The nut has not told me to have any Protein shakes as yet.

when I had my lap band I had told all that is was a surgery for my ulcer. In India people will just not understand as its a new concept. THis time for my sleeve I said I an going away for 1 week. now I am saying I have an ulcer.cant eat or drink. -
i am one wek old sleeve patient. This morning suddenly I started geting severe pain while urinating. it was scary. But now with few doses of liquid combiflam is has stopped.Thank God.I also slept deeply for 2 hrs. Maybe rest was also needed?
