I'm a 32 year old mother of 2 boys ages 10 and 7. When I decided to have lap-band surgery, I was 114 lbs heavier than I was when I graduated high school 13 years prior. It was time to do something. I didn't think it would be possible until I started a new job and realized the surgery would potentially be covered. After doing much research, attending information sessions and meeting with 2 different surgeons, I began my weight loss journey on November 30, 2010. I was approved by my insurance 2 weeks ago and my surgery is set for April 18, 2011. I've already lost 20 pounds and after surgery my goal is to lose 100 additional pounds. We'll see!
