Hello everyone! hope all is well...To all those who have been banded in the past few days..WELCOME TO THE CLUB!!! I hope your new journey is well under way and with no "Big" problems...For those of you who have kept us going thank you for the support, the well wishes and the understanding...As for my surgery experience....I was scheduled fro 2:30pm on the 26th, the MD was ahead of scheduled so they called me to come in at 12pm. They did my IV, gave a shot in my belly (blood thinner) and a cool patch behind my left ear for nausea (boy did that help!!!) Anesthesisa cam and talked to us, the doctor came and talk to us and marked my belly with his zorro pen..lol...and then the good stuff came...anesthesia came back, and shot me up with giggle juice...(I couldn' t stop laughing...) rolled me into the or...and 1 hour later I was in recovery...They fed me APPLE JUICE!!! Needless to say my MD was very upset!!!! and so wasn't my stomach...but, in the end, it was all ok.. Now I had to stay overnight because my oxygen level took it's time to come back up...but it was better that way.. I felt safer at the Hospital..just in case...I came home saturday at 10am..and that's when the gas hit!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!:faint: I have NEVER been in such pain..and i've had 2 c-sections!!!!!!!! HOLY SMOKES!!!! I was in tears for 3 days..no gas x helped, no petho position helped, no walking helped...NOTHING!!!!!! I'm into my 5th day and thank GOD I'ts MUCH BEtter....Still there...but much better!!! So, protein drinks make me nauseaus.....I drink Carnation instant Breakfast because it's the only thing that will stay down...and my broths, crystal light and water....but NO ATKINS or EAS drinks:eek: !!! YUCK!!!!!!!!! I will be able to eat yogurt and runny foods on saturday...I CAN"T WAIT!!! I haven't had any issues with my incisions..They are sore, but noting to talk about (as you can tell) my port is right above my belly button on the right side...So...It has not been easy...but it's getting better day by day. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers...Mines are with you all as well..:clap2: .Keep up the hard work because as we all know this is not as easy as people might think!! Love ya guys!!!!! Yeah, V8 smooties are really good..I like the strwbwerry banana one the most..That's a good idea...I'm gonnna have to try adding the whey, Thanks!! Everything is A LOT better today!!! Gas x is my best friend...lol..I've also been walking lot more now..Like I said...The incisions and all that are sore but no biggie..it was the gas....but anyway.... Loki, I would say give the office a call...Tha's what I did...Maybe that will help out..Let me know what happens...

Hi! Well, it sucked in the begining :sick but getting a lot better...GAS BUBBLES ARE A BI---!!!!! Gas x is my best friend!!!! Protein Shakes make me nauseous:yuck:.....YUCK!!!! :faint: I still can't walk straight, and laughing hurts...never mind coughing...I can take the broths though..I LOVE V8 smoothies..It's an uphill battle that I AM GONNA WIN!!!! I have an air bubble coauhgt under my left shoulder blade (at least that's where I feel it) and the pain radiates down my left arm and up my neck into the left side of my head!!! HOLY SH__ it hurts!!!! I've TRIED EVERYTHING!!! Gasx, walking, lying down, standing, NOTHING WORKS!!! :faint:I have not written in a couple days, but for good reasons..I am now officially "Banded for Life". So, I am in pain....not hungry though...and in pain... I can say the sutures are not that bad. I have 4 small ones and my larger one right above my belly bottun where my port is (that's the one that hurts the most)...but this all bearable..THE ONLY THING THAT IS REALLY BEGGINING TO PIST ME OFF IS THIS FU.... GAS BUBBLE THAT IS STUCK IN MY LEFT SHOULDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It hurts so bad!!!!!! I've tried everything..My best friend even leant me her massage chair to see if it helped and nothing!!! THIS IS THE ONLY PART THAT SUCKS!! I have to be honest though. I went in to surgery expecting the worst...like a c-section maybe..but it was nothing... I've had so much crystal light that I can taste it in my sleep..and I just had about 6 ounces of atkins vanila shake..Well, going back to my sofa...I can't lay down..it's too painful yet..I LOVE TYLENOL WITH CODEINE!!!!!! I have to mention that my husband has been WONDERFUL through all this!!! HE IS JUST INCREDIBLE!!!!!!:kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2: Thank YOU baby, for being here for me!!! I LOVE YA!!!!! HEllo January Bandsters..Just wanted to let everyone know that it's official..as of yesterday at 2:00pm I AM A A BANDSTER 4 LIFE!!! I'm in pain, groggy, and full of hot airr...literaly...lol..I stayed overnight due to my low oxygen levels...but I'm home now...I'm going back to bed, but I thought I'd update you guys..Thansk fot the prayers!!! GOOD MORNING!! TODAY IS MY DAY!!! Today is the day that I start on my post-band jorney..I'm estatic, excited, scared, nervous, and completely and uttlerly glad that my husband is home...(that's why I wasn't around last night!) The plan...bring the kids to school, come home and hang out and talk and be "US" for a while...Shower, shave and off to the hospital...I can say I AM STARVING and have a massive headache (from the hungerr...I get those all the time) SO, wish me luck, keep me in your thoughts and your prayers and I'll see you on the other side!!! I am grateful for all the pre-op help, strategies, comments, wishes, and "spanks"...I can't wait to see what's after this...I'll keep you posted!! To all my badster twims..Congratulations and good luck... I said a little prayer for all of us!! I'll see you on the "flip side"!!! ok...it's getting close!!! :bathbaby: I started straight liquids tonight. I had 2 cups of soy milk with whey protein...I came up with a new way to drink it that is not ahlf bad..I I had my 64 oz of water...I like it...My boo is coming home tomorrow!! YEAH!!! i can't wait! I will be shopping tomorrow for the last few things.. I brought all of the liquid meds..tylenol, vitamins, calcium, etc. I just need to pick up last minute broths, jello, etc..I'm very excited and nervous at the same time. I know it will be ok, but I do need reassurance!!! :nervous God is good and HE is he present in my life so not too worried!! I did my excercises (only 15 minutes because company arrived)... No worries...I'll walk it off tomorrow!!! Well, I' going to bed now..ot's 10:00pm here and I'm bushed, beat and tired too...Good Night !! :notagree 2 more days!! smooches...:kiss2:

Audree~LOL!!!! I almost peed my pants (and believe me with all this water it ccan happen...) I wil do the trimming fo the forest tonight!! Laides~ I also will wax eyebrows, mustache, and whatever else (on the face only! ) needs to be waxed..(I'm a hairdresser so I have all this stuff at home!) and I also have been trying to pick out an outfit... I think it ahs to be done!!!! I have 2 shirts picked out: A black t-shirt my friend brought me back from Ghirardelli Square in San Fran that says: Inside of me is a really thin woman trying to get out, I can usally shut the Bit... up with chocolate" or a Snow white T-shirt that says "Tales of Dangerous Hunger..I was really craving an orange but.." I'm not sure wich one seems more fitting....What are your thoughts? I was just informed by the hospital (they just called!!!!!!) no make up (oh well!), jewelry, nail polish (there goes the manicure and pedicure)..no hard candy from now on, no gum and nothing to eat or drink from midnight on!!! ooohhh mjmmyyy GGOODDDD!!! Enterprise01 and BGB ~ I will shave tomorrow morning...I did blowdry my hair straight (I have naturally curly, curly and LONG hair) so I don't have to fuss with it for a few days...Just my way of "looking good" for surgery.. :clap2: .Oh FYI... I called my surgeon and he does surgery on my side...no between the legs thing!!! FEWWWW!!!!! :clap2: lol...
