Does anyone know about how much it is to get the band out. I have so much trouble with food getting stuck and if I have some of the fluid out then am eating too much cause am hungry. My stomach sore all the time cause am always getting food stuck. Yes, i chew and chew and take small bites.. I just want this thing out!!.. I paid out of pocket cause my insurance didn't cover it so am sure I will need to pay out of pocket to remove it I had this for over 5 yrs now and haven't lost anymore weight. I been at this weight for over 2 yrs. Now that am exercising I cant get enough calories in cause am burning to much when I go to the gym and I cant seem to eat without having some kind of issues. I have a 10cc band and fill to 6.5 or 7cc.

I had to pay out of pocket cause my ins doesnt cover weight lose. I just want this gone not looking into replacing with something else.

I guess i dont have enough issues where my insurance will pay it. So i dont know what the cost is if i had to pay out of pocket. I feel like my stomach stressed all the time. Never relax not sure if there anything wrong with my band. With my luck am sure everything is fine. Just tried of the stuck food and the hiccups and burping. Am pretty sure i dont want another fix. Am hoping with me exercising i can either lose me weight or just stay where am at. Glad things works out for u and good luck with ur new journey with the sleeve.

I have a 10cc band and I believe so far I been filled to 7cc. My question is anyone out there filled more than 7cc. I been pushing off another fill for over 2 years now and now am gaining weight. I have always been hungry even after eating and I eat more then I should. I normally just stop myself and stay hungry. I do have stuck issues but I know it cause I didnt chew right. Am afraid another fill will be to much since my band is only 10cc and I have 7cc already. I need help and get back on track and lose this weight. Thanks

I was banded in may 2012. I was wondering how do u know or can u tell if u have stretch ur stomach. I gained. I don't feel full I just stop eating cause I think I should be feeling full. I occasionly get food stuck but am sure its cause I didn't chew right. Any advice or help would be great. Thanks

Going to try the 5 day pouch. I think I may just need another fill. I drank protein and still hungry thanks everyone u guys were a lot of help

Thanks lisa was kinda thinking that. Well call the office n see about getting another fill.

I say eat and gain the weight that u need to be approved...u will lose it at the end.... I paid out of pocket just seemed easier....

Thanks everyone for all ur input this has help and by no means do I think u guys are a no it all...lol.. this is just a forum to get insight on what other go through not a DR's web site.....I do eat more then the 1/2 for each meal and am still losing weight. so I think am going to leave this at 2CC for a month or so and see how it goes...I feel 1/2cup just doesnt seem enough and I have a hard time trying to get all the veg and nutrition i need with this 1/2 cup. Just wondering if anyone is really eating 1/2 cup. My doctor wants me to eat 1/2 cup for each meal which he wants me to do 3 meals and no snacking.. I believe I have 2cc filled and I can eat more then 1/2 cup.... I dont know if I need to keep getting filled till I can only eat 1/2 cup... Am still losing weight with what I have now. So any input would be great. I know everyone all different. Am just really wanting to know if anyone really just eating the 1/2 cup... Thanks:)

I had instructions to only eat 1/4 cup and now I can do 1/2 cup... I had my surgery May 3rd. I believe it was 1/4 till you have ur 2wks check up and from there they should advise you more on what you should eat. Every Doctor is different.

Does anyone know of good protein shakes...I have tried Akins but don't like it much. I get banded in July 5th and am worried about the week before surgery. The liquid diet also after surgery. I am a very picky eater. I couldn't do Weight Watcher or Jenny Craig cause I wouldn't eat half the stuff they have. I don't really eat veggies but very little like celery, green bean, corn and peas. But i have read that some of those u have to be really carefully eating. So if anyone has any suggestions on any good protein shakes or anything that I could eat after surgery..

Has anyone ever felt presure around the port area? I notice when I eat and had my 1/2 cup that i feel presure around my port area.. I dont think am over eating cause my chest has never hurt nor have I vomited yet... so I was wondering if this was normal.. I was thinking maybe it was presure from the food going through the band maybe not chewing my food enough..

I havent heard one thing positive about me getting this lapband from work nor friends...but I look at it this way. They are seeing me lose the weight and they still havent with all the diet they do. So am sure they thinking they should have went with the lap band. This is alot of work no way is this a easy way out. When I hear a negative remark. I tell them to read on lap band before judging....it shuts them up Good Luck !!

Hey Broom, I can relate I was also at 31 and everyone tells me omg your not fat cant believe you got the band. I tell them I dont want to get where I have health issues. I dont regret it at all. I was banded May 3,2011 Good Luck to all the banders

I went to work after the 3rd day... I sit behind a desk all day and even that simple I ended up leaving early... I say take 1 to 2 wks. like everyone saying see how it goes and return early if u feel up to it.

I know how u feel. I wasn't going to tell anyone and decide that if they are my true friends they going to stand by me..The reason I wasn't going to tell anyone cause everyone already as told me I didn't need to lose weight every time I was with other means beside the lap band. Like all of us they all worked but u gain it back plus more. I weight 190 and didn't have all the health issues. That's why I wanted this surgery was to avoid having health issue due to over weight. Am sure some of you will say the same that I didn't need the lap band. I have no regrets so far and some friends told me I was crazy...ok so am crazy but now am losing the weight and they are not....so if u really want this and I say go for it and don't worry about what anyone thinks or says. This is about u begin healthy and happy with ur self....Good luck and hope everything goes well for u.

Has anyone had any infections on any of their Incesion. I think I may have one and been calling my doctor all morning. still no return call back not sure what to do... has any one have this and what happened. I read on another forum that this girl had in infection around the port area and had to remove the lapband... Do we get our money back or some of it? I had to pay cash cause Insurance didnt cover this and if I have to remove this I would have lost and still have to pay back all the money I borrowed. I'm so worried if this happens do I get to have the lapband back with no extra cost?...OMG if I lost all this money am soo screwed... any advise would be great thanks..also the infection is the incesion next to the port so if it not there am sure it will be if this doctor never calls me back.

I think I have an infection due to the only one incesion is really red and painful and hot to the touch. Which I have read that are signs of infections. I hope its not.. Hope doctor can look at it and leet me know.. still waiting for them to call
