  1. I'm 60 and never had the $ or the insurance to cover any of this so when I came into some $ I paid cash. I don't regret doing so and would do it again. The first week I thought I would die! Then the nausea and pain started calming down and the scales started moving. Hope you have great success in your WL journey.

    Whatcha eating today!!! Thursday

Boy, do I know what you mean! The last 3-4 days I've wanted nothing and had to convince myself that I should eat something. I hadn't had an egg for a while so scrambled one and then got nauseated. My sleeve has a mind of it own sometimes.

  6. Well, I was at the store and saw this pita bread made of rolled oats, flax seed, and whole wheat. Each whole pita has 60 calories and of course I can only eat about a third of one. My husband kindly eats the larger piece after I cut it! So I made my tuna with fat free ranch and spices and added to my pita and was that ever good. They are at Walmart deli if anyone is interested and at abt. 20 calories for the portion I ate I think I'll do that again with my chicken salad...may have to buy more since I've got my hubby eating healthy with me now.
  7. My doctor is Dr. Clayton Frenzel. Great guy, knowledgeable, and seems to honestly care. Spends a great deal of time answering questions and never seems in a hurry. Called him one Sunday apologetically because all calls go straight to his cell phone. He laughed and said I'm a surgeon and I don't take days off and if one of my patients has a problem they talk to me and not an answering service. Nice guy!
  8. First day of week #7 and doing much better even though the first week I was not so sure! I didn't like Forest Park and hated their beds. I'm an old nurse so I guess I found many things not to my liking. I am, also, short and found the old fashioed bed hard to get in and out of ...was later told when I complained that they were getting new equipment as some of it was outdated. I was the last room at the end of a hallway and had the feeling of being ignored. The NP was wet behind the ears and pretty much didn't listen to what I said including the fact that I can't take glucovance and gave me a prescription for it anyway. The one positive thing was Dr. Clayton Frenzel who is caring and takes time to address and answer any question. Never had a doctor spend so much time with me both before and after surgery.
