Hi All... thanks for responding... I asked my Dr...and he has said basically the same... eat light and not RIGHT before you go..... but there isn't a strict rule there.... just common sense...
-
Should I be eating before a fill? How long before a fill should I stop eating? is there a rule of thumb.....what works best for most??

$150.00 per fill, fluoro's covered by OHIP (if dr's are having difficulty with fill or concerns for port/band...)

Anyone been in a similar situation? Advice from the wiser bandsters?? thanks!

Hi Gang... Just checking in ..... reading the forums daily really help me stay in tune that is for sure. I am feeling quite well.... no pain only some tenderness at the port site.....no bruising! kudos to the surgeons! Definately still some swelling at the site area as well....but up and moving quite well the last couple days....lots of walking ...and lots of catching up with "season 1 & 2" of "Lost".... addictive watching... back to work after this weekend. I had to miss my 1st followup apt yesterday due to ice storm and would have had to drive an hour out of town to it....rescheduled for next week though... Hope all us Februaries at feeling fine...doing well....and on our new healthy path! Cheers!

Thanks Thatgirl! Things are going well....had the surgery on the 24th.....1st 24hrs were a blur but up and getting at the world now with no probs.... no preop diet was not an issue at all....thanks for the encouragement! BlueGem

Its been a long month of waiting....but my day has finally come....tomorrow morning that is! This site has been such a great find....for support and info.....real life day to day situations ....knowing you aren't alone in it even if many around you might not know you are having surgery. I have a calm excitement for myself heading into tomorrow...and the rest of my life! Thanks all..........
