  4. sorry for such a terrible loss! god rest his soul in peace!! and give you strength.
  5. It is a common problem, you are not alone, sweets craving always find their way back. The good thing is that you know the problem and definetly there is a way out of this sweet dilemma. I find myself going on curves with my sweet tooth. Somedays I have the power to just say no.. other I just take a bite or two of a chocolate cake and the rest of the days I JUST CANT STOP! I use to suffer from dumping when I eat sweets but now I can go extra further before feeling the dumping syndrome attacking me. SO it will all be in ur will power to say no and find scale changes, which will keep u going forward on saying no to ur head hunger for sweets.. u may then allow urself a small indulgence but the scale victory will keep ur willpower going strong. Try tricking yourself when u feel the need for sweet.. by just filling on Water which is gonna make up for the lack of ur Fluid intakes. I dont believe in low calorie/carbs Desserts so I Will never suggest to someone indulging on them instead. As for the hunger, I think at this stage it is totally normal cause your stomach capacity is just getting to its finish result, It doesnt mean it is stretching but all it means is that your swelling is going down and u are having ur real final capacity, so may be u are still confused by ur new capacity and eating less but quicker.. so u need to start chewing really well, adding more Protein to ur meal and checking if that will fill u up better for more hours. I dont see it a bad thing to eat every 3 hours BUT then you will need to be really strict with ur QUALITY of food.. so why not snack on REAL protein like chicken/beef/fish.. give urself a time to know if you are really hungry or just confused with head hunger. FINALLY! EXERCISE .. u need to tick ur body and poke it once again to start giving up on the pounds its hanging on. There is no way too much weight or way too less weight with the sleeve.. everything just take a time and honestly some if not a lot of mental effort before physical effort.. Keep visualizing your goal weight and work on it:) U WILL DO IT:)
  6. Thankkkk u!!!)) U will be on this thread before you know it!! the sleeve will be everything you have been waiting for:))) thanks for ur sweetest comment:)

    At Goal...for Now.

WOW!!! Congrats on such an amazing success:) and thanks for sharing:) you have come soooooo far.. Best of luck on the few left pounds:) although I think u have already reached and conquered ur goal:)
  16. The closer we are getting to goal, with all the percentage difference in account, the less we tend to lose and the harder we can too. But that doesnt mean it happens and people reach goal. SO hang in there and keep fighting the good fight, you are not abnormal or anything, you are actually a success with 85 pounds lost! I have heard about people losng 60 Pounds a year and I AM still bowing to them in respect and amazed by their journey. Our bodies is really so different and everyone is a special case when it come to weight loss, so take out the comparison from ur frame of mind and start thinking about what a great achievement you have done so far. I have been losing less than 5 pounds a month now and some month went without any loss, played with stalls and took every advice on here and applied it but then after many times of repeated stalls/ slow WL.. I managed to understand that the body will do what the body will do. It got its plan! but in no way its plan can conquer the simple mathematical rules ( calorie in VS calorie out) so one day it will give up when the time is right and let go of the few left long friend-ed fat:) Be patient and be HAPPY!!
  17. If you are so eager to make it happen to you, you wont got a day without fighting against failure. So YES I think the sleeve will be the answer u need to all ur past trails, but you need to put ur heart into this journey. The sleeve is gonna always be there for you more than the support you have ever received before in you life, so now it is ur turn to work with your sleeve and let the magic begin. If you dont, it will still help you but you will come to a point where you are just taking 100% advantage of this surgery, so why pay and go through a life threatening ( surgery like any other minor surgeries) and waste time and effort after that. Once you are on the loser bench you will have a new perspective on weightloss and all the pessimism will go away . Best of luck:)
  18. what a great transformation:))) I am so happy for u and ur happiness is so showing in the picture:) way to go:) u have been so dedicated.

    Count Down To Goal 4....

It is such an amazing feeling!! and terrifying one too. Though it has always been my dreams but I think the same like you, who is gonna be there for me to defeat? should my life start revolving about something else other than beating pounds and gaining my health? It is so scary for me, I know maintenance wont be easy but We will get used to it one day or another, and then what? lol I think I have developed so many passion toward sports and life, I will start to conquer those and may be the next thread we will be asking , where are we now? Best of luck to u and everyone!!
  20. YUP! I can!! I was wondering the same several month ago and I Found great material on board here about the same issue.. it just happens for somedays then u will be back to normal:) dont worry:)
  21. Well, I'm so curious about if anyone who has been sleeved has his weight loss stopping after a while and I Dont mean stall. I mean your body just stopped losing weight after a certain time or a certain number of pounds down? how long? was it a year or less than a year? Does it happen to most of the sleevers or just it is rare but just happen to some? How did u know that this is it, and ur body wont lose anymore? I think my body has given up and it is totally against the idea of losing anymore weight and I think it is too early but may be this is it I know this is not a stall cause of different factors. I gain the same 3-4 pounds and lose them for about a month or may be more, I exercise and my body just dont recognize it.. I am keeping my carb intake like non! or lets say sooo freaking little like non existing and I am not enjoying my food anymore, a month ago I could eat anything I LOVE and lose weight, now I am more like dieting and it is not even working, I mainly eat protein all day, fish shrimp, meat , chicken, milk. NO Desserts or sweets. I am feeling like my band days are back but at least am grateful for how amazing my sleeve has been and how much weight I have lost with it. I count my calories, I drink not less than 100 OZ of water, I dont have thyroid problem but I think this is it. If u think this is a stall then thats okay but I would love also to hear it from others who their weightloss stopped forever even early or late in their sleeve journey. Thank u

    I am the only one??

I agree with Diva, U wont need to eleminate them unless u are on the final stretch and feeling like they are holding u back! but to me when it comes to fat and sugar I DO the real stuff. I have my starbucks drink everyday with caramel * normal* one cause as u said at the end of the day we are eating too little and this wont make a huge difference to the calorie intake. It is actually dangerous in just one way, when ppl keep snacking all day long on sweets and desserts and fatty stuff. Other than that I have the sugar in the morning, the fat in whatever I am eating wont bother me cause when it comes to the actual grams consumed it is really little. I use to be (splenda and Equal addict) before sleeve but now my stock is just full, I nearly never use them.
  23. Congratulations on ur success so far, now all you need to do is to stop trying going hard on yourself cause in no way this is the solution. I have had my time of falling off the wagon, erasing the gym time from my calendar and feeling like I just will do it later or the weight will come off magically and sometimes I feel like I am really tired from all the stress and the journey of weight loss. I believe I have let myself have several bites from sugary stuff and that was over the last 10-15 days, We were having a feast and I felt like I have to be normal and be festive, the feast is 4 days and I was suppose to let myself go for just 2 days max, I went on for 10 days and then I started to realize I dont wanna gain and for the irony of it I lost around 5 pounds then my body started to realize that I am screwing up and I put back 3 pounds! that was my wake up call! and it is not a nice one:( I am glad u are already acknowledging the problem and facing it but going so hard on urself wont do it, the trick is cutting back slowly especially with sweets, I would limit my intake of whatever I am indulging, and I wont completely cut it off, go on like this for a week until u reach a limit of willpower of not putting a single bite in ur mouth, While doing that and starting working out u will be feeling like it is not worth all the hard work and it will help u to upgrade to the next level which is "GETTING INTO THE PREVIOUS ZONE". When we are doing hard work and sweating and running we are high "like addcition" let the addiction of working out back in ur life and the "periodically passing sweet addcition" will start going away and any kind of falling off the wagon will be in the past. After all we are all human and one day we will eat sweets and desserts and other bad stuff, I know u are in the losing phase thats why u are concerned but u are have done so good and may be ur body needed some rest from all the stress. Baby steps will be ur best solution and u will be back on track before u know it:) Thats my opinion and thats how I deal with it:) Again congrats and best of luck:)
  24. Okay I think I will be the voice of slow loser on here cause you all have an outstanding results:) Surgery: 16/04/2011 Total loss since then 60 Lbs Lost 130 before surgery
  25. You have got real great advices on here, but may i ask how many hours do u sleep and when is the last meal before u sleep? sometimes when I dont get much sleep and my last meal is like 6 hours away I feel the same thing. But on normal days, Water is the first think I run to after I wake up, I take my antiacid med. with large sip of water then wait half an hour ( totally waste it with freshening up) then heat my leftover or whatever I am gonna eat and just take the bites I can of it. It is usually my smallest meal so Half an hour early I drink my skinny starbucks macciato (SP?) and thats it for like another 7 hours! I can call myself a crappy breakfast person. Try the water first and wait and see if it is gonna makes u feel better, the sun advice is great and fresh air too, it will takes time but it will get better soon:)
