Hi, I'm 19 years old and new to the forum. I am finally getting banded on April 7th!!!! It's been hard to balance lap-band appointments and insurance issues, college, transferring schools and just loosing weight in general. I am so excited my time has finally arrived. Is anybody else being banded in April or May? What has your experience so far?

Hi all, I am sorry to change the topic but I have a question. I am getting banded April 6th by Dr. Robinson and I was wondering if he performs any tests on you right before surgery to see if you are a smoker? I made the stupid mistake of smoking five cigarettes these past two days. I guess I was so stressed out with the liquid diet and nervous about the surgery. Do they do a urine test or check anything to see if you are in fact a smoker? Will this hinder my surgery date? I am not a smoker, and I can't believe I made this stupid mistake. Any help would be great. Thanks.
