I have been feeling really nervous about what i am going to do to my body and the seriousness of the whole situation. Last night, i thought about cancelling then today i looked at a photo taken for work and i was so disgusted. It has totally spurred me on again. I want to be able to look at a photo of myself without feeling shame. I have the photo in my bag and if i feel scared about the surgery at all, im gong to take it out and have a look. This time next year it will be a photo i am proud of!

Would this be suitable for liquid stages, or is it too salty? Maybe just a weird idea but i like the taste!

Hi all, Well i am 4 weeks today until surgery and the wierd/scary dreams have started. I always have pretty random, out there dreams but now they are all about the operation. Here is a selection: I get opened up then the doctor says there is something wrong with my stomach so no sleeve. I am left with huge scars. When i get to Mexico to hospital is actually just a motel room that looks filthy. Did this happen to anyone else? They are making me feel pretty nervous

Clothes and confidence! I dont have any vavoom anymore and I am hoping being able to wear nice, trendy clothes will give me back some of it. Also to say yes to more social invitatiions because i often say no, worried about how fat I look and how people will be looking at me.

Thankd everyone. Here in the UAE it is soooo hard to get good shakes etc. Slim fast is everywhere though! I will keep searching.

Hi E, What protein shakes are you drinking that are so delicious? Ps: Dr Kelly is going to get me some of those Gas strips things so i wont need you to send them. Customs here are really strict and they would probably be opened etc.

Aprill 3rd with dr kelly in Mexico, it cant come soon enough. my eating is out of contol at the moment, its as if because i know i am having the surgery for sure, i have just given up altogether. My tummy is just never full! I wish it was tomorrow!

I am thinking of going then but am travelling alone. Wondering if anyone else is planning on going at that time? Thanks, Groove

Ok, might seem like a stupid question, I am from the UK and we dont really drink stuff like that. Usually we drink diluting juices like robinsons or kiora. Can i just drink these or is there a special reason for drinking the powder type? I have seen tang. Is it the same kind of thing? Thanks a lot

Thanks lucky, i have a pretty low pain threshold and i was getting worried, I am sure i will need plenty!

Also Julies vlogs on youtube are great. Thanks julie! I find the was she speaks really comforting. I love reading everyones experiences but sometimes seeing someone who has been there done that and is doing just fine helps to ease me!

Could the other posters who have been to dr kelly let us know about how their pain was managed? Has the nausea meds helped your sister? thanfully she has you there!
