    Hi Guys. My surgery is July 7th. I am 58 years old married with 2 grown kids. I am really nervous about the surgery. Not the surgery itself, but the complications that so many people seem to have. Apparently many get horrible reflux and vomit alot. I hope I am not one of those people. I was on this other website and people who were unsuccessful with the band were trying to talk me out of it. I'm really freaked out!

    I have heard that the band stimulates something called the vagus nerve which gives you the feeling of fullness.

    I read on another lap band board(Obesityhelp.com) that a lapbander was only taking in 700-800 calories and not losing. Her Doctor told her to up to about 1200, and she lost about 5 lbs that week alone.

    Have any of you come across unsweetened flavored protein powder? I am looking for a good tasting choolate and vanilla powder thats not pre sweetened. I have tasted Unjury which is good tasting except for the cloying sweetness of the artifical sweetner in it.
