    I feel like a failure...trying my best to stay upbeat. Havent lost very much weight at all and hungry a lot. I can eat much larger amounts of food than I thought would be possible and have to stop myself. I think I am getting my first fill this Friday..so I hope that helps. I am starting to go walking and will build up my exercise from there.

    Hang in there...we CAN do it. I am feeling like a total failure at the moment..but telling myself I didn't go through all this to not have it work...and I know that the biggest part of this working is ME with the help of my band. I need the right positive mental attitude coz I really don't want to fail at weight loss...yet again. I have not seen the good weight loss some of you have at 3 weeks out like me..but I am trying to stay positive and let this be a life changing experience. Some days its easier than others. You can message me anytime...I think you are doing awesome.

    I was banded on April 21st. So glad to "meet" all of you fellow April bandsters. You all sound like you are doing great. I have a feeling I am going to be a slowwwww loser. Wow Ashers....great weight loss...just ...WOW..way to go!!

    I got my band on April 21st. Was in a lot of pain first week but seemed like day 7 when I had my staples out,was a turning point. I am however struggling with being hungry every 2-3 hours. Would love to keep in touch with fellow April bandsters . You all are losing weight and doing so well...and are an inspiration to me.

    wow...i feel so different since thursday..one week after surgery and the day i got my staples out. Dr told me i can eat soft scrambles eggs,mashed potatoes ...they NEVER tasted so good!! I am hungry quite a bit but trying to hang in there. At last i can sleep on my side...sigh...love it . still painful near my port.Most gas pains gone. Am back to feel more like my old self and that this is doable.

    thankyou to all who stop by and leave comments..its very much appreciated. Been feeling pretty sorry for myself..and like..what the heck have I done? I am really trying to stay positive. The pain has eased..but like last night..laid down to sleep and bad pains kind of in chest and side..like a runners "stitch" pain and made it painful to breathe. I am not even sure if it was gas or pain from port.

    i was banded same day as you and i feel horrible also. feels like pulling near port when i get up..bad gas pains and i can feel ache where i guess band is. didnt think this would be easy..but..ouch!!! i wasnt told i could have protein shakes yet. i also do not like the broth:(

    hi wheeler, glad everything went ok and you are feeling good. I had a bad day yesterday..a lot of pain. I am going to make myself walk around more today.

    Next Thursday is my day! I am excited and nervous and after the waiting,,it now seems to have happened very quickly. If there is anyone else that is having surgery next week that would like to keep in touch and help and comfort each other along the way...please contact me. Everyone on these boards is so helpful and friendly...couldn't get by without coming here to see how everyone is doing and getting answers and advice I need.
