mittenkitten replied to MarcyLoo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Any one else struggling with working out during allergy season? I think I am just being lazy but I also feel like my allergies are just kicking my butt. I was banded march 22 and I'm only down 18 pounds. 2 fills and very little restriction. I'm still trying though. I won't stop -

I feel terrible about bringing up the sleeping position thing. Don't go worrying... I'm just a crazy loopy chick who worries about everything ! So I've been on soups and full liquid since post op day 3. A little earlier than most but I went back to work and needed energy. I'm now starting to feel hungry. And its not just a mild hunger its "IM HUNGRY RIGHT NOW !!!!!". Im learning that my morning routine has to be get something in or dizzy follows. -

I am preparing to go back to work tomorrow and I wanted to clean up my house a bit. Every time I bend or stretch I reach for the port site thinking I will be able to stop it... duh. I'm sleeping with body pillows on both sides to avoid the rolling. I can't wait to be 3 months post op saying "geesh ... what was the big deal ! " -

Hey all, A few questions for the March bandsters. 1. Do you guys wind up on your sides in the middle of the night ? I am terrified of getting a flipped port and I seem to end up on my side in the middle of the night. My nurse said a number of things would make a port flip but back sleeping is a precaution. I am getting ready to go back to work so sitting up for 8 hours is going to be a challenge as well. This dang port thing freaks me out ! 2. Are you guys meeting your Protein needs ? I am on soft foods (yogurt, Soups, and liquids). But I am not meeting my goals regardless of choices. Im so frustrated. I feel like I'm failing already by not eating enough... booo ! Other than that... I went to a student art show. I walked into my local organic food center and was craving fresh veggies and whole grains... Maybe this band thing might work out for me -

Hey all! I'm a March bandster as well. I was banded with a Realize Band on March 22. Weighed in at 312 at P.A.T. on the 14th. On the 22nd I had dropped 10 pounds (the secret is I was mid cycle when I had pre-op testing ). I've been healing up pretty text book. I don't have nausea, just a "blah" feeling when it comes to food. Ive only been hungry a few times and I eat a few bites and I am done. I think I am still pretty swollen so I'm just taking it in stride. Im struggling with Water intake and Protein. shakes are like swallowing cement ! I go back to work on Tuesday so lets hope that changes... I need energy ! -
Hi all... I'm new I was banded 5 days ago on March 22, 2011. It was also my birthday... I'm hoping its the greatest gift I've ever bought myself I am healing up just fine. I return back to work on Tuesday so I'm trying to relax and listen to my body so I know the signs of hunger and full and just plain annoyed The worst thing I've dealt with so far is a swollen uvula. Coughing, spitting, eating, drinking irritates it. Any tips on how to shrink this sucker would be great
